I echo what everyone above has said. That would be a new band, but not Rush. And I would hope they wouldn't play an evening of Rush tunes without Neil.

By no means was Vapor Trails one of the worst records ever made. From a production/mixing standpoint - yes, it is one of the loudest and least dynamic ever made, but they corrected that with the Remixed version. There is still some really fine songwriting on that album, and for me it is a time relic that embodies everything the band felt about Neil's return. It is perhaps the most unique Rush album in that respect.

It's a beauty! Love the cymbals. Thanks for sharing!!

Bravo, brava! Scoping Rush shows was the best thing about my summer (besides going to see the band, of course)! Thanks to all who participated. My first scope was Cactus Pete (Calgary, I think?), and I watched almost every scope from that point to the end of the tour. Man, I must have seen the show ten times? That is truly amazing.

My dad and I scoped the show last night from our homes and communicated via text. Brought back memories of seeing them with my dad for the first time in 2002. What a time!

Dinklage rocked it.

I was advised by a friend to not watch the entirety of TNG. He gave me a list of specific episodes he thought were highlights, and I watched them all and they were great. Should I go back and start from episode 1?

Nice! Anyone seen the Steve Smith video of him practicing at home with glow in the dark sticks? Trippy.

I might take a nap myself.

Hemispheres wins. Prelude is some of the best instrumental Rush!

I feel like he is misinformed. He can't have "inside info" because that doesn't exist. Alex said they haven't even discussed the future. This guy is just riding the "last tour" hype train and made an unfortunate comment.

Man, think of the mad rush (lol) to buy tickets for a short residency at MSG. That would be a stressful few minutes securing your spot at a show.

Looks like Tom's on his way out.

I wouldn't think so...
If we did, we would also need to mark spoilers for older tours. Which is silly...and really funny, actually. Can you imagine:
"Neil's solo in the middle of (MASSIVE SPOILERS!) YYZ was amazing!!!!"

It's morning....
What do I do now? I'll see a movie and get my mind off of this.
In any case, I don't think this is the end for good. It just feels too random to be done right now.

I like Dominos...
I know it's not "real" pizza, but man is it delicious. Mmmm....

I'd like to see one last album. As my dad mentioned to me last night, one more album means Rush would have complete creative control to say goodbye to fans "officially" however they see fit. Right now it just feels kind of random for everything to just be over, especially because they're still playing so well.

Neil's already on his bike 50 miles away. He gets to sleep in his own bed tonight.
Speaking of which, so do I. Goodnight you guys. This was great. Periscope has been the highlight of my summer, as was discovering you all. Take care!!

If this was the last Rush show ever (which I still believe it wasn't), at least it was like this. on THEIR terms.
Not every artist can say that. So farewell to kings. CHEERS.

He's made of wood.

So I've always wondered...
Is it "a nice cold beer" or "an ice cold beer"???
Hmm...I will meditate on this....

I bet a bunch of musicians are there tonight paying homage that we don't even know about.

Irvine, Los Angles, and a symbolic wave of goodbye from Neil....
