Only one, but it was 1 August 2015... :)

Yes. And ironically I assumed it would be Neil that went first - but I thought it was going to be in a motorbike accident.
But damn cancer - especially with all he had been through. While us fans are feeling bad, I can only imagine what his family and friends are feeling right now. They've been robbed of a husband, a father and a wonderful human being. Such a colossal loss for everyone.

Only the one. But it was the last ever show, so I'm pretty stoked about that!

Seemed like a perfect song for R40. Real shame they didn't include it...

OK, I'm in.
So you've got a couple of Aussies now. Party is officially started...!

DEW, RB and TCE all in the one show. Please...?
-
No reason they couldn't do album performances in a semi-residence fashion. 3 albums per night with an intermission between sets. For example...
Night 1
Rush
Fly by Night
Caress of Steel
Night 2
2112
A Farewell to Kings
Hemispheres
Night 3
Permanent Waves
Moving Pictures
Signals
etc...
Spread it out over a couple of weeks to go easy on Geddy's voice.

Limelight is really tired. I can totally see why they'd skip it.
If they'd asked me I'd have told them it was totally cool to leave out Tom Sawyer and SOR too.
I mean who would really have complained? Do any casuals actually go to see Rush?
Speaking as someone who will be seeing their first Rush show ever in LA in a couple of weeks, I would have complained if they left out TS. And loudly!! I'm not flying all the way from Australia to NOT hear Tom Sawyer.

Ignoring Power Windows, Hold Your Fire and Presto. And having the title track from Roll the Bones as that album's sole appearance.
-
I could do without Natural Science, but would love DEW, RB and TCE in the same set. I'm seeing the final show in LA, so if I assume that the first show of the third leg starts with Set A, I get to see DEW (hooray!), but have to see YYZ, TSOR and NS (not ideal, but it's Rush so - everything in perspective...:))

What's happened on previous tours?
-
I think we can put the rumor of Rush touring Australia to bed - ain't gonna happen, sorry. There were talks that did happen with an Australian promoter but the money being asked for by Rush meant a tour wasn't going to be economically feasible. Since those negotiations happened the Australian dollar has fallen against the greenback making it even LESS likely.
Frankly I'm surprised there were discussions at all.
But that's ok - I'm flying from Sydney to see the final show in LA, so after 30 years of being a fan from afar I'll finally get to see Rush play live. Can't wait!

Just add The Camera Eye to set A and I'd be one happy little Vegemite...:)

The Main Monkey Business would be BRILLIANT!!!!

Hard to believe Dreamline won't make an appearance at some point...

As someone who is flying from Australia to see the only Rush concert I have ever and will ever see, I cannot convey enough my complete and utter lack of sympathy for anyone whining about the appalling tragedy of having to sit through a Rush gig that doesn't have a setlist personally chosen by said whiner.
Boo-hoo - you've seen the band play Tom Sawyer 12 times over all the years you've been lucky enough to see them. My heart bleeds with the injustice of it all.

I'm afraid of the day this happens to Bruce Dickinson :(
Bruce has been in decline for a while. He's still got the strength, but not the range of his youth.
Rob Halford on the other hand - astonishing for someone of his age.

I figured, John and I wasn't bashing Tulsa. Point is, try booking a major city arena for 12 straight days. Not going to happen.
Er, apart from U2 at Madison Square Garden in July...
Booking an arena for shows is one thing. Rehearsals are a whole other game.
Also...MSG has other sources of revenue such as the tours they do every day. No way any band can do rehearsals with tourists walking the halls.
Sure, which is why they would book the venue out completely if they wanted to. MSG would simply cancel the tours if required. For an appropriate fee of course... ;), The only reason an artist wouldn't do it is cost - I'm guessing it would be massively more expensive to book a venue like MSG compared to the BOK Center in Tulsa.

It's sounding more and more definite that R40 will be the last tour...
-
So I'm thinking:
Tom Sawyer
Spirit of Radio
Limelight
Red Barchetta
Freewill
YYZ
2112 (full or part)
Subdivisions
While there's plenty of others I think are likely, I'm not sure there are any others I'd put any money on as being in the setlist for sure.
Thoughts?

This will be the last Spoiler, unfortunately hes done working there and won't be going back.
No offense, but... good.
In an unprecedented move, the band/management has made EVERYONE involved in the tour so far, sign ND agreements (Non Disclosure). In layman's terms, by signing one, you legally agree to: Keep your f***ing mouth shut about everything!
Whether his info is accurate or not, this "spoiler source" who signed one of those agreements, chose to thumb his nose at it and rather, share alleged info with someone who admittedly opened at least one account on a forum, to specifically go public with it.
Your "source" is a person of little character who has zero respect for the Rush organization. And neither do you, My Friend... neither do you.
Er, you know for a fact that the source signed one of those agreements? You do realise that at this stage of the process there will be quite a few people who are not part of the Rush organisation who will have had the opportunity to hear rehearsals?
when this johnny guy first made the post about hemispheres into far cry he did mention his source and an ND agreement, so this does make sense actually
OK - yes, just saw that in another thread. My mistake...
Still seems a bit suss to me though!

The interview is right now, figured I'd post anything interesting he says, there have been some questions regarding the tour, will update with any new info:
1. Acknowledged that Power Windows/HYF was represented well on the CA tour, there will be none of that this tour (don't recall any HYF songs on last tour)
One song = "represented well"?!?!?
Easiest Rush song on bass

Yep. And just proves you don't need to be musically complex to end up with a beautiful song!
