  1. I remember two users Kroy Wen and Praetorian that were 'alluding' to the fact they were indeed NEP and Mosbach. Some of the posts were eerily prescient, like Rush being in a 'major motion picture' well before I Love You Man came out. Maybe it was common knowledge and I just wasn't aware. Maybe it was just a couple of wankers trolling.
  2. First off, long long time since I've posted here! Saw the show in Phoenix and here are my favorite moments -

    1. Xanadu (double necks and double bass drum double wow)

    2. Hemispheres 2 and 1

    3. Jacob's Ladder

    4. The Anarchist. A surprisingly strong opening song.

Does anybody know the 'setlist' for the songs playing prior to the show start? I know Neil personally picks those tunes and I recognized some Tull and Genesis. There were some pretty good songs and I'd love to check them out.

  3. First post for me in a long long time!

I was at the show last night as well. Here are a few random thoughts, many of which are echoed above -

    1. Alex tech gliches. He seemed to disappear for some songs entirely especially when competing with the string section. I could barely hear the guitar in Tom Sawyer among other songs. Other songs he was fine! I didn't notice him miffed and saw him hamming it up a few times for the audience.

    2. Neil's t-shirt cannon can shoot shirts a long damn ways!

    3. Set list - oh man that was good. Force Ten, Grand Designs, Territories, Big Money, Body Electric. oh man oh man oh man

    4. The new arrangement of Where's My Thing? Sweet!!!!

    5. The light show and pyrotechnics.

    6. Geddy's sweet red bass guitar. Man that was beautiful.

    7. The string section. I liked it! They seemed to really enjoy themselves especially the male celloist. He was rocking out!

    8. Wrapping up with the Grand Finale. Fade out - lights out - WE HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL....

I say this every tour since Power Windows but this one was my favorite. Damn boys job well done.

I was listening to in the car yesterday, and I literally did get goosebumps. I was wearing shorts, so I could see them on my legs and arms - they lasted for awhile!

I don't get goosebumps from the title track, but I do get this ridiculous smile across my face when I hear that one.

Agreed! The title track is slowly worming its way into my brain.. I get the strong feeling it will my 'next one' as I slowly digest this album.

    Hmmm not sure.

Did Geddy perhaps offer any more context?

For example: "I would like to thank the Wassermans in advance for kindly starting to clean up after themselves when their stupid poodle shits on my front lawn"?

Ha ha nope nothing that definitive. Usual cryptic stuff.

    IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the haters, with their hater-feet ice-cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling:
Haters: How could it be so?
It came without ribbons! It came without tags!
It came without packages, boxes, or bags!

TODAY'S THE DAY!! Enjoy it all! Every second, every sound, every snare, every strum. It's a good day for us all!

I snagged 256 kbps mp3 from the the rollingstone stream doesn't sound bad actually. I used the ever amazing mediacatcher.

    Anyone want the link?

    yes.gif

    ditto smile.gif

    same here. please pm me.

Again, don't bother posting the link. We can't post links to hard copies of this song (or any new songs down the road). Links to streams only.

    That goes for PMs too.

There are plenty of ways to get a hard copy of the song without trading them on this board. Like, we can wait till tomorrow and spend a dollar on it.

    QFT.

I can spare a few bucks and a few hours to make sure the boys get their well earned fair share.

  8. This. This is why TRF and RIAB should be declared national treasures. Thanks a million. It's like Christmas came a day early. Oh and the song kicks ass. Good one boys!

Once, he wrestled an angry grizzly to the ground and killed it with two sharpened(used) drum sticks, he skinned the bear, wore the skin and led a sloth of grizzlies for 3 years. He was known as "RaRR-RaRRR-Arf", or "He who killed Reg".

    Source, please?

It was written by the dead bears only son, Fozzie........"I Sh*t In The Woods: A Bear's Tale", or "How I Ate Grizzly Adams, the Sanctimonius Gobshite".

I believe Neil actually killed the grizzly with a hatchet, an axe, and a saw.
