I too know what you mean! My first crush was Alex when I was a teenager. Then as I have gotten older I have come to appreciate Geddy's awesomeness. What is that from? On the special features of R30 there's a soundcheck of Spirit of Radio, this is how it starts.... I'm not sure I've never seen that. Guess I'll have to dig out my DVD. Such a heartache. I had seen this. I'd just forgotten how it started out. I love the look on Alex's face when Geddy messes up the song. I'm sorry, did you say something about a song? I, er, got distracted... I only realized Alex was in the video when he started blocking the goods

Look at how gorgeous he is. He's probably less likely to have a pic like that anywhere... or maybe not. Strange how he says he doesn't like attention, then we get pictures, books, blog entries, etc. Maybe he just likes attention on his terms. I think he said something to that effect in Roadshow, that sometimes it seems weird that so many people know so much about his life through his books, but at least it's on his terms.

But I look at pictures of myself back then and they look goofy. Even though at the time they were the thing everybody had. They aren't in fashion anymore, but my reading glasses look very similar to those. I think they're cute. My co-workers get quite a laugh out of them though.

"Lox, salami and eggs all scrambled together with onions and served with rye toast, latkes & apple sauce just the way he likes it." That. Sounds. So good! It was probably the best thing I've ever eaten, and that's no exaggeration. And it's huge! I don't know how such a small guy could eat so much food!

A bit off topic, but I just got back from Toronto (I went to ring in the new year at the Orbit Room) and on New Years day a friend and I ate at Caplansky's. The entire staff couldn't stop raving about what a nice guy Geddy is. Everyone in there had only awesome things to say about him. Apparently he likes to bring his mom there for breakfast, which is incredibly sweet of him. The guy that runs the place said that the breakfast dish they have named after him was something his dad used to make for him when he was a kid. If any of you Geddy girls find yourself in Toronto you should definitely make a stop there (who knows, the man himself might be having breakfast!)
