  3. Hull 0-1 Man Utd

Lost in the 92nd minute! I can't sit here and say Utd didn't deserve it, they bossed the game, but to lose it that late on is quite frustrating.

    Sorry mate .

But to be fare you should have expected the worse at the end as your players started to tire .

    As for Utd .

I think we are back !

That would`nt have happened last season

Van Gaal would have took all our forwards off and played for the draw .

    God .

I`m so happy that bloke has gone and took his sketch book of philosophy`s with him

  4. I don`t want to sound like a fuddy duddy but ..

I think this thread should be for the English League Football and of course our wonderful national team :eh:

    I feel your pain Brucey

    http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/36874200

I did say right at the start that we could discuss pretty much anything football related (including the San Marino league :P ), but most of the discussion has been Premier League/SPL dominated, so you'll be getting your wish, pretty much. :)

As for the link, I think Moyes is a very good appointment for them. I would certainly have taken him but Sunderland are a much more attractive prospect given that we have a transer budget of zilch!

    Fair Enough .

    And Fair Enough .

I just thought that there would be a US Football thread on here with the mass majority of members from ...The US

I always stick by the majority vote ;)

  5. Yep officially gone. Remember Derby in 2008? 11 points? We could beat that, soooo exciting!!

    :o

    That is a shocker !

Are you going to change your name again Brucey ? :eh:

    Well .

After the crackin day out I had last week at Wigan with all the smiles upon the faces and scoring 2 goals

I had the day off work to watch

    Man Utd v B. Dormund

Was`nt expecting much from the 1st half as it had that nightmare in boots Jones started and Memphis up front on his own

Kinda breaks my heart that these 2 are pro`s in the game as I`m sure as hell If I`d stayed clear of sex, drugs and rock n roll in my later teens as I`m sure as hell I could of been better than those 2 who get to wear the beloved shirt of a team I would crawl on all fours on hot rocks and paid Utd to play for the club..... :banghead:

    Anyway

    We lost 4 - 1 .

    Early days .

  6. I would like to know if there was any England fans who was shocked by the teams performance in the Euro`s ?

Did they really think they had a chance of even getting to the semi`s ?

Do you think anything is going to change in the future ?

Any opinions on how to sort the mess the England team and the F.A. in .

  7. What a great thread !

  8. Saw Steven Wilson last week at Man.Apollo

He talked about the album (4.5) as an E.P. more than an actual album

There songs that just did`nt fit the concept or the feel for his last 2 albums

    So you can`t say that he`s lost it , far from it`s a great album ( E.P.)

I bought it while I was there ;)

  10. Just wonder if he`s heard himself play guitar the last decade .

Rubbish and shit would be a complement .

    I digress .

Just like to know which album he thinks of the Stones that is better than Pepper ?

The only Stones album that is worthy of "one of the greatest albums of all time " is Sticky Fingers and that`s just a good blues rock album which there are a hell of lot of "Blues rock " abums that blow that one out of the water .

    I`m a Stones fan BTW , so I know what I`m talking about .

    Unlike Keith .

He wasn't comparing the Beatles and the Stones. He ripped both Pepper and Satanic. I think his point was the Beatles and Stones got caught up in the whole Psychedelic movement and forgot to be rock and roll bands. I think he has a point, since the Stones and the Beatles both went back to their "roots" on the following albums - The Beatles and Beggars Banquet.

    I did`nt read it .

I just get a bit naffed when you get people having a go at the greatest 40 minutes of music in Musical history

That`s just my opinion of course .

As I say though the Stones are not a band that can go round slagging off albums when most of theirs are just average .

A great singles band 65- 83 and same goes as a live band about the sane period but really who goes to a Stones gig to listen to the new albums

They became one of the first " Brand" bands and they really should not knock a band that gave them a leg up to get a label !

    As for 1967 !

My god it has to be the greatest 12 Months of Music ever ! :finbar:
