  1. I'm glad to see that there is such a high demand for these tickets, but at the same time I am outraged at these ticket prices. For the CA tour, I was able to score the same tickets for half the price. I was unable to score anything in any of the pre-sales for Philly (even with refreshing at 10:00:00). General sale tickets for the Philly show have all sold out, and only platinum tickets are left.

  3. Although I really do care about the way the Bluray is edited (I could care less for changing the camera angle every two seconds), I'm more interested in how the audio mix is. Based on the trailer, I'd have to say that it sounds pretty darn good. I seriously hope they come out with a CD for it as they did with all the other videos!
  4. How awesome is this! I have really high hopes for this remix; that album is full of so many good songs, but I don't listen that often because of that distortion.

Now if we could get a release date on that live Clockwork Angels album...

  5. Rush has always been my favorite band (duh, why I am I posting here) to listen to live. I kid you not, the whole experience is life-changing every time I see them live. I've seen many other concerts around my area, and they played well but it never felt like they were truly playing their best (as if to play just well enough to keep the fans happy).

What are the prices of the shirts at the show???? Does anyone know?

    Typically $35.

  6. At one show they came out with guitars and pretended to solo, complete with rolling on the floor, and all sorts of cliche guitar poses. I think it was in Atlantic city.

Yep, I remember that from Atlantic City as well. One had a Les Paul and the other had a Jazz Bass. I thought it was hilarious! :D

  7. I've always gone to For Eyes and haven't had any problems with my glasses. However, their prices are not always the best. Their optometrists are also not very intelligent (at least where I am from) as I'm on my second one and both have been complete morons.

From what I've seen online Costco is at the top, oddly enough. I use Costco for a lot of things but not vision. I like the store, but don't love it.

If your local Costco is pretty close, I would go for it. You'll end up using your membership for other things as well (I'm assuming). They have decent deals on electronics among other things.

  8. 3 shows: Time Machine Tour in Camden & Clockwork Angels in Philadelphia and Atlantic City.

I would have seen more if I was born earlier! For some stupid reason, checking to see if Rush actually toured didn't occur to me until I was about 16; really kicking myself on that one. :rage:

I can't wait to see what they'll do after this tour! :D

  9. In the thirty years of seeing Rush, I've never had front row seats.

Until last night in Atlantic City. To commemorate the occasion, I snapped off one or two (hundred) pics for your viewing pleasure...

    Enjoy-

What great pics! Thanks for sharing! :ebert:

Who's the guy holding the NJ card in pic 3? :)

First I thought it was Gerry Hilera from the string ensemble but I could be totally wrong.

  10. I've played it on Rock Band a few times. I prefer playing on real instruments though. :)

What I found really cool was when I got Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock. It has the full 2112 (with the master track) narrated by the band. I love playing that every once in a while.

It's time for Rocksmith if you want real instruments.

I actually have tried Rocksmith and found it very confusing. I play (real) guitar on my own and am quite good at it (constantly learning Rush songs!). I like to play GH/RB though just for fun or with others who don't know how to play a real instrument with me.

  11. Neil is the single reason I have been playing drums almost 30 years but no way would I want to meet him. 90 percent chance it would be a disappointment I would say.

Definitely. I would love to meet him, but I know that he isn't into fans that much so I would rather leave him be if I saw him. If I did meet him, I'd probably just be like: "beautiful day, isn't it?"

He has his own thing between Ged and Alex and I respect that.

  13. My brother handed me the Chronicles Disc 2 CD in the car one day (I don't think he liked Rush). I have not been able to stop listening to them since. Now I have just about all of their albums except for the Grace Under Pressure Tour.
  14. Rush in Rio - Disc 2. I love these Vapor Trails songs played live!

Power Windows. I love everything except Middletown Dreams. I'm having a hard time getting into it.

That's actually one of my favorites from the album now, but I can see it being a hard one to really get into. I overlooked it until they played it on this tour. :)

  15. I think Countdown is a contender:

    Lit up with anticipation

We arrive at the launching site

The sky is still dark, nearing dawn

    On the Florida coastline

    Circling choppers slash the night

    With roving searchlight beams

    This magic day when super-science

Mingles with the bright stuff of dreams

    Floodlit in the hazy distance

The star of this unearthly show

    Venting vapours, like the breath

    Of a sleeping white dragon

    Crackling speakers, voices tense

    Resume the final count

All systems check, T minus nine

As the sun and the drama start to mount

    The air is charged

    A humid, motionless mass

    The crowds and the cameras,

The cars full of spectators pass

Excitement so thick you could cut it with a knife

Technology...high, on the leading edge of life

The earth beneath us starts to tremble

With the spreading of a low black cloud

A thunderous roar shakes the air

    Like the whole world exploding

    Scorching blast of golden fire

As it slowly leaves the ground

Tears away with a mighty force

The air is shattered by the awesome sound

    Like a pillar of cloud

The smoke lingers high in the air

    In fascination

With the eyes of the world

    We stare...
