Sam Hyde is still around? I thought he was off somewhere in self-imposed exile.

i went from a book (i read it's introductory chapter and then skimmed through it for about 30 more minutes), to then wiki articles, to then youtube (for each subject)
my youtube feed is a complete mess, a total wreck, recommended videos included. i've been thinking about getting it more organized or maybe even dividing between three different accounts (separating: music, entertainment/memes, and education/meditation), but i know i never will. i should at least consider being more consistent with my playlists.
I only have two playlists: music and one labeled 'other' (mostly nerdy biology/botany related stuff). I think I have about a dozen videos in Watch Later.
My brother claims to have 600 videos in Watch Later. He may as well delete all of them because he'll never watch them, ffs.

I won't elaborate.

The approaching end of summer. September is a month of transition. The vegetation begins looking bedraggled and fewer plants will be blooming. The days get shorter and the weather is fickle (hot spells, cool spells). I enjoy autumn itself, so we can just fast-forward to October as far as I'm concerned.

You're putting far too much thought into this.
Let's watch a slightly more esteemed author:
I'll never know what they did with that artichoke. To this day it really bothers me.

went down a couple of rabbitholes today on accident, read a bunch of weird/useless stuff then followed up by checking youtube vids on it. spiritual ecology (basically just a boring new age religion), 'mystery' schools, and 'notice of understanding' which is a contract in the UK which sovereign citizens seem to latch onto
"In my personal NoUI/CoR, filed over a year ago, I claimed the right to control my corporate strawman, the right to use hallucinogens, the right to use public transportation and schools without paying for them, and a fee schedule ($20,000 per hour if arrested/detained/handcuffed). it was accepted by all parties sent to, and it has actually gotten me out of civil and criminal court cases (I don't adhere to their codes/acts/statutes anymore)."
Avoid YT recommended videos -but I'm sure you already know this. A while back I rewatched an old Camille Paglia video I liked and the next thing I knew I was watching Vaush on a consistent basis. :/
Fortunately, I don't have time for that shit anymore.

I was just thinking the board was a bit slow tonight and this thread appeared. It's not Spaghetti Lee quality entertainment, but points for trying.

Resurrecting this thread because it used to be pretty popular. I'd also like to proudly note that I was the first in this thread to describe the day as "shit".

Despite the high heat and humidity, I took a walk around a pond at the local park this afternoon. There's a sidewalk around it that forms a one mile loop. I saw ducks and geese, as well as great blue herons. There's also a pavilion under which barn swallows nest. Even though I live on the edge of town, I'm no longer living "in the country", so this is always a nice area to go for a walk.
This place is frequented mostly by dog walkers and joggers. Everyone walking a dog appeared to be enjoying themselves, and were quite friendly, but all of the joggers looked absolutely miserable. I passed one woman twice, saying hello with each pass, and she said nothing in return. Didn't even look at me. She had a very determined look on her face, though.
Brace yourselves.
Today at the park I saw not only great egrets but a fine blooming specimen of Lobelia cardinalis.
Now that I've exposed myself as a plant nerd I'll be on my way.
