Here's my theory - the "missed the memo" theory.
Let's assume Mondays are announcement days. It was leaked on TM on a Monday. There has been info posted that it will be released on a Monday in January. Maybe whoever made the mistake (TM HQ, TM East Coast, Anthem) was just coming off Xmas break and the last he/she knew, the info was getting released on 12/29. So it got posted.
I'm not sure if you're being serious here or not but leaked concert dates happen for just about every band these days. Tour info travels so fast now because of the internet. It's not like years ago where it was easier to keep a lid on things until the official announcement. There is no "missed memo" or ticketmaster employee screw up, it's just the internet doing it's thing.
But it wasn't leaked on some forum or fan site or news agency. It was leaked by the official ticket outlet first (Boston & NYC dates) and then expanded upon by others. Somebody at Ticketmaster either made a mistake or there was a planned leak between Rush management and Ticketmaster.

P/G in NJ was my first ever Rush show. I was so stoked. I thought the DVD was awesome.

Ditch New World Man and put in The Weapon.
That will be in my next setlist ;)

It's shorter song wise than CA. Timewise, not sure. CA was 27 songs. My list is 25. Could eliminate Driven and New World Man.

There are no accidents or coincidences. Just random strings of events and circumstances that sometimes weave together or near each other.

Also, this message is posted:

The more I think about it, Jacob's Ladder seems ideal.
It's a long, epic song that a lot of people would go nuts over.
It's mostly instrumental.
The few vocals are not straining on Ged's aging voice.
It would allow for some new video to play along with the song instead the same old, same old.
Just a thought....

They have some - Bravado and CTTH come to mind. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly certain the goal for the longest time was to make the live version sound like the studio version.

Two rather obscure ones; Prime Mover and Wish Them Well.
I really like HYF and PM is my favorite song off that album. When I saw the tour live, I was blown away by how much I liked the live version. Especially love how they changed up the vocal sequence at the end.
WTW was an okay song for me, but live - whoa - it kicked butt!

I'm curious. Where did the song "Presto" rank on rushpetition.com just before the The Time Machine Tour? I know it's a little ways back but hoping somebody hear remembers. That was definately a song they had never played live so it had to be on the list.

From NJ - about an hour out.
Saw them at Brendan Byrne on P/G, PowerWindows, Presto.
Saw them in Newark from CA.
My graduating class of about 180 in the mid 80's had quite a few followers. I believe there were about 8-10 seniors who filled their bio quote from Rush.

Album with best "clarity?"

I'm thinking Counterparts. I like that mix.
To me, Presto was lacking something - maybe it was to clean?
