  1. all i can say is "wow"! i didn't see rush until 1981. i wanted to go in 1980 but my friends didn't. my first concert was july 4th, 1980 with other bands. so i always was a little bummed that i missed the PEW tour. you guys caught some awesome shows back in the day.

  2. A few years back I chimed in when I had seen them 31 times, beginning with the Permanent Waves tour at Cobo Hall in Detroit. I was also at the (then) brand new Joe Louis Arena when Max Webster opened for Rush in 1979, which I recently learned was the very first rock show ever at "The Joe". I should be at 38 but the Jan. 26, 1978, A Farewell to Kings tour ticket went unused because of a monster snow storm that day that meant mom was NO WAY driving us punk kids into the city for a rock show... dang... Since my last post, I've caught six shows, including the (hopefully not) final gig at The Fabulous Forum on Aug. 1, 2015... So, my RUSH show total stands at 37 shows... I hope to say, "...and counting..." in the very near future... Rock ON!

that's so cool you caught the PEW tour. i didn't see them until moving pictures.
  3. i've been to 25 shows. they're listed in my signature. sheer bliss...

A 3 night run in Frisco in 84. Nice. Rare seeing Rush do more than 2 nights in a venue (can only recall Massey Hall '76, Hammersmith Odeon in '79, and the long run at Radio City Music Hall (can't recall what year that was)).

the best part of the 3 night run was meeting all three members after the 5/24/84 show and having them sign the back of my GUP album. unfortunately, i had to sell the album a few years ago.

  4. the arrangements of their songs. when i found a farewell to kings it was so much better than kiss, ted nugent or aerosmith. a farewell to kings is still my favorite rush album. i dropped the needle on it and i've never been the same since.
