  1. QUOTE Here ya go. 01 Intro 02 Blue Collar Man 03 The Grand Illusion 04 One With Everything 05 Too Much Time On Your Hands 06 Lorelei 07 Man In The Wilderness 08 Suite Madame Blue 09 Crystal Ball 10 Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man) 11 Miss America 12 Come Sail Away 13 Encore: Renegade 14 Outro Thanks -- sounds like a killer set. Heard last night's Yes show was a little better... And that Squire even joked about the first night, saying something to the effect of, "Maybe things will be better by the third night!" Something you really want to tell the crowd on the 2nd night!
  2. QUOTE It's supposed to be up on the Dime later so I'll post it then. Thanks. QUOTE The Yes show is up and dreadful (David had an awful night) , and as I feared they say Styx was far better. Guess I'll listen and find out for myself. I've been frequenting the Yes forums and that seems to be the overall feeling, that Benoit's vocals were weak, and even failed at points. And the band itself was sluggish. Could be first night jitters? Heard they only rehearsed for one week prior to the show. Love Styx, they always seem to bring it when they play. I figure they will stick to hits, mainly, being a shared bill with Yes. It appears Yes did the same.
  3. QUOTE I can't say I'm a HUGE fan, but I don't switch stations when they come on the radio...they, to me, were an ALMOST progressive band, that leaned a little more towards pop than rock....Progressive Pop?!?! It was one of those bands that your girlfriend didn't make you take the tape out when you were listening to them, but you could STILL have some "meat" to the tunes! True True!! My wife loves them! We saw them back in 2010 and they were great, going the 16th to see them in Nashville with Yes, 6th row. Good solid band. They didn't have very strong deep cuts on a few of their albums, I think that hurts a band sometimes. But boy they could write hits like nobody else. I miss Dennis, but Tommy was always my main Styx guy anyway!
  4. I know this is a Yes thread, but what did Styx play? I am going to the Yes/Styx show in Nashville on the 16th. Thanks!
  5. Far Cry. Great song from my least favorite Rush album. 2- The Main Monkey Business 3- Malignant Narcissism 4- Workin' Them Angels 5- We Hold On 6- The Way the Wind Blows 7- The Larger Bowl 8 - Hope 9- Armor and Sword 10-Spindrift 11-Good News First 12-Bravest Face 13- Faithless I listen to the first 4 on a regular basis. Everything else I can do without.
  6. Like others I hesitated voting on this one, a) because its a covers album, but also because technically its an EP! :-) But I went with Summertime Blues. Great version here. 2- Seven and Seven Is 3- Crossroads 4- The Seeker 5- Shapes of Things 6- Heart Full of Soul 7- Mr. Soul 8- For What It's Worth
  7. One Little Victory for me! 2- Earthshine 3- Secret Touch 4- Nocturne 5- Ghost Rider 6- Vapor Trail 7- Ceiling Unlimited 8- How It Is 9- Out of the Cradle 10-Freeze 11-Peaceable Kingdom 12-Sweet Miracle 13-The Stars Look Down
  8. Driven, no contest here for me. 2- Time and Motion 3- Resist 4- Half the World 5- Limbo 6- Carve Away the Stone 7- Test for Echo 8- Virtuality 9- Dog Years 10-Totem 11-The Color of Right
  9. Cut to the Chase! Love this album, and would call it a 'classic' if the lyrics were slightly better. Some of the stuff from things like Nobody's Hero, Alien Shore... the lyrics are kind of clunky. 1- Cut to the Chase 2- Between Sun and Moon 3- Leave That Thing Alone 4- Stick it Out 5- Cold Fire 6- Animate 7- Double Agent 8- Alien Shore 9- Nobody's Hero 10-Everyday Glory 11-The Speed of Love
  10. Dreamline. This is not one of my favorite Rush albums. There are a handful I love, and this is one of em. The rest I can take or leave. 2 - Bravado 3 - Where's My Thing? 4 - Neurotica 5 - Ghost of a Chance 6 - Face Up 7 - Heresy 8 - The Big Wheel 9 - Roll the Bones 10 -You Bet Your Life
  11. Show, Don't Tell, but just by a hair over The Pass. The rest falls in here: 3 - Superconductor 4 - Scars 5 - Presto 6 - Hand over Fist 7 - Available Light 8 - Chain Lightning 9 - War Paint 10-Anagram 11-Red Tide
  12. Force Ten is my choice here. 2 - Turn the Page 3 - Time Stand Still 4 - Mission 5 - Second Nature 6 - Prime Mover 7 - Lock and Key 8 - Open Secrets 9 - High Water 10-Tai Shan
  13. Mystic Rhythms -- love the atmosphere and its one of their most successful synth era songs to me, it still holds up really well. 2-Marathon 3-The Big Money 4-Grand Designs 5-Territories 6-Emotion Detector 7-Manhattan Project 8-Middletown Dreams
  14. The Enemy Within for me on this one. 2-Distant Early Warning 3-Red Lenses 4-Kid Gloves 5-Red Sector A 6-The Body Electric 7-Afterimage 8-Between the Wheels Actually never got the love for BtW.
  15. New World Man for me -- different vibe going on and its cool. A close 2nd: The Analog Kid 3rd: Subdivisions 4th: The Weapon 5th: Countdown (NASA nerd here as well!) 6th: Digital Man 7th: Losing It 8th: Chemistry
  16. I know its not cool for a Rush fan to choose it, I know its overplayed, I know its predictable but if it wasn't for Tom Sawyer, I wouldn't be a Rush fan. So there. :-) 2-YYZ 3-Limelight 4-Red Barchetta 5-Witch Hunt 6-Vital Signs 7-The Camera Eye But its all so so close.
  17. The Spirit of Radio, predictable I know, but... 2-Jacob's Ladder 3-Natural Science 4-Freewill 5-Entre Nous 6-Different Strings But its really more of a 6 way tie... Love this album!
  18. La Villa, awesome awesome awesome! This was never one of my favorite albums, but my wife, whom I introduced to Rush when we started dating, instantly gravitated to this album, so in recent times I have re-evaluated this album. Still not my fave, but not as unlistened to as before. Always preferred La Villa and The Trees. Circumstances is 3rd. The title track is good, but I like it least on this album.
  19. Hands down, Xanadu. One of the most inspiring and cohesive pieces of long-form music they have ever recorded. Here's the rest: 2-Closer to the Heart 3-Cygnus X-1 4-Cinderella Man 5-A Farewell to Kings 6-Madrigal All in all, one of my fave Rush albums.
  20. 2112. Overture, Temples and The Grand Finale are just incredible. 2-Something for Nothing 3-Tears 4-A Passage to Bangkok 5-Lessons 6-The Twilight Zone
  21. Bastille Day, its the most enduring to me of all the tracks. Caress is a pretty good record, but its almost like a warm up for 2112. The rest of the album falls in like this: 2-The Necromancer 3-Lakeside Park 4-The Fountain of Lamneth 5-I Think I'm Going Bald
  22. Anthem. By-tor is a close 2nd. 3-Fly by Night 4-In the End 5-Beneath, Between and Behind 6-Making Memories 7-Rivendell 8-Best I Can
  23. Hi first post, thought this was a good place as any to start. Working Man for me here. Predictable, but I like it. As for the rest... 2-Finding My Way 3-Before and After 4-In the Mood 5-What You're Doing 6-Take a Friend 7-Need Some Love 8-Here Again
