Geddy's voice. I didn't go this tour because it's gotten to where it's too hard to listen to. I hate to say it because he is one of my all time vocal heroes, but he just cracks too much now. Either they need to space the dates out way more, play for less than three hours (no), play more instrumentals because they're better than ever instrumentally, or just stop. I don't want them to go out as an embarrassment like some of the shit "classic rock" bands; they're way too awesome and important to music for that.

    Geddy should just lipsync

They could have done the olympics too

actually his voice IS getting pretty bad. I first noticed it on the S&A tour. The last time I remember him actually sounding good was R30.

was I the only one who thought "John Connor" when they showed that final scene? I wonder if the machine is actually Skynet and it's turning against our world lol

I am so tired of all this ghost shit. Every damn channel seems to have about forty different haunted shows. The dumbest one has to be the Animal Planet show.

The lengths that some of the paranormal believers will go to to rationalize their beliefs are sometimes so far beyond credibility it's laughable. Bottom line - if a home ever belonged to a famous/infamous person, or has even the most tenuous link to anything of historical significance, it MUST be haunted. Like Liberace's piano (no really, I caught a bit of this on one episode), or the Alamo. . .

It sort of goes like this:

    Here's an old building.
People lived in it a long time ago.
    They died.
    It's haunted.

    Buuuulllllshit.

    Neil, is that you?

I know... ghosts = spirits = religion, therefore Neil hates ghosts!

For some people, louder = better. Not me.  I'll stick with the 25.8P and MFSL when I want the best sound.

It wasn't just louder, I notice a lot more fullness and clarity in the production on the remaster, which always seemed slightly lacking to me in the original and MFSL versions.

yes... on the remaster I can actually hear Alex's guitar in most songs. It's so synth-saturated that none of the other instruments came through very well.

Err, well i'd post it in SOCN. But really, If people get that pissed about beliefs and all that stuff.

Eh what the hell. Permission to post in SOCN?

Also, it is a system that my friend and I have been thinking up over the past 6 years.

you can't make up your OWN belief system, you're supposed to accept what others tell you! weren't you "brought up to believe"??

and it reminds me of how most every little girl dreams of being a princess.

    Excuse me a minute...

    Sorry about that.

She did say most every little girl.

But I'm right there with ya. I was always too much of a tomboy to have any time for that Princess shit. laugh.gif

I was too. I was into bugs, climbing and (of course) bikes. tongue.gif Still am for the most part - I just spent about five minutes watching a bee preening itself. laugh.gif

I know GG said "most", but even that makes me feel a bit like throwing up...

what is it with women being so tom-boyish these days? aren't there any girly-girls left?

  7. Makes you wonder why we even bothered splitting from Britain back in 1776... it's now 2011 and we're still bombarded with the Royals. I wouldn't be surprised if this was getting bigger news coverage in the US than in Britain.

Nate, I'll be honest -- you might be too young for SOCN. Just looking out for you.

I'd like the opinions of current SOCN people about whether someone who just turned 13 is too young for in there.

No on 13 year olds. You would be accused of trying to influence their political thinking at such a young age.

I know you sure would... poisoning his mind tongue.gif

People should be at least 30 before they can join, at least then they'd have had some real world experience and not living on all these hoop dreams the left paint sarcasm.gif

If people had to be at least thirty, the board would have to be renamed "People susceptible to a mid-life crisis within 10 years talking about politics". I've been following politics since the 2004 American elections. Mind you, the way I treat information has greatly changed since then, but I've been fairly well informed on at least Canadian politics since then.

thanks for making me feel old... I thought at 31 I was still pretty young, but now I'm almost at a mid-life crisis tongue.gif
