Pretty cool edgy show.
Sort of in the vein of 2112.
It's about control of the populous by fear and suspicion.
'Dreamers' are hunted down and sent to 'treatment'.
The bible says in the 'last days' family members will turn each other in to the 'authorities'.

Bought this oil painting today in a flea market for $20. It's like 36" x 48".
Tried to google the artist, P. Murphy, but no luck.
Found a Patrick Murphy, but pretty sure it's not him.
Just wonderin' if ya'll have any suggestions on how to find out what it's worth?

My son Kerry (LegoKid here on TRF) auditioned for the sixth grade band tonight. He wanted to do drums/percussion with all his being, but he knew there were only two spots left. The kids have to try all the instruments, so he made the rounds, saving percussion for last.
He followed the band director doing drums on a practice pad, just going through some basic rhythms/techniques, then the guy just started a tempo and got Kerry to keep it going. After THAT, the guy kind of raised an eyebrow and began doing little drum fills, and saying, "Can you do THAT?"
Kerry did every one, never missed a beat, looking the guy calmly in the eye the whole time, smiling like the coolest kid in the world.
The guy grabbed Kerry's sheet, gave him a "10" (highest score), wrote "GREAT!" on there, and sent him to the school band director.
When she saw he had given Kerry a 10, she said, "Kerry! If he gave you a 10, you GOTTA play drums! You're IN!"
He said, "YES!" pumping his fist and his smile was so wide!!! It was SO much fun. We brought his snare/bells kit home with us tonight, and he is on top of the world.
I'm so proud of him. Pics tomorrow!

*Though being good at Rock Band/Guitar Hero drums is more easily translated to the real thing than the guitar and bass...IF you're good.

The story as written in the blog is exactly what happened. No, he never pointed to or indicated the headphones.
This kind of thing is what makes it hard for people to understand how complex some kids with autism can be - his brain KNOWS the sound isn't coming out, but he can't make the connection to TELL someone.

I find it interesting that he concentrated on the solution, instead of what was broke.

Heard something on the radio that her 2mil. home took 4 days to clean with a huge crew. Said trash was everywhere. Rats all over the place.
They think she's on meth or crack or something.
