This reminds me, anyone heard about D3strukt?
He was the one having tests on his stomach.

In today's society, wouldn't the responsible thing to do is to record it on your iphone?
-
Now to more serious matters.
bottom of 9th
Braves lead 3-1 over Cards
2 outs - man on first
All Kimbrel has to do is throw it over the plate.
What does he do?
Throws 7 str. balls, walks 2 to load the bases for Pujols who lines a double down first base line to tie game. Do pick off winning run coming to the plate, but lose in bottom of 10th.
man oh man.

Braves come off a VERY surprizing sweep by Philly, and win both games in a double header with Mets. Not *that* surprising.
Cheers on beating the stinking Mets.
And you made fun of my positive comments about Cliff Lee? This is a love letter to Chipper Jones!!
Reminds me of that Sinfeild show where Jerry and, I think, Mike Piazza were 'dating'.
No that was Keith Hernandez.
"Keith Hernandez!?!?! We HATE Keith Hernandez!!!!!" And the Phillies were part of the gag.. that was the ep where they did the "JFK" thing with the magic loogey from the spitter on the gravely road..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcaq4ElAJrE
The gag was how Elaine and Jerry were vying for Keith's love
That's right. Now I remember.
Always loved the part where Krammer's head snaps back when he gets hit with the lugie!
Great epidsode!

QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 8 2011, 08:37 PM) 4 touchbacks already...why bother kicking? Just place ball at 20 I think they will next year.
Maybe not tho. Didn't dude run one back for 108yds?
Really do think they're headed that direction.
Will be firece debate.
Hmmm, sounds like good idea for thread.

Well life is better today.
Braves come off a VERY surprizing sweep by Philly, and win both games in a double header with Mets.
Yes nothing like sauving your wounds with some New Yorkers.
Ahhh, that feels good.
Anyway, not much to say except Atlanta has been extraordinary in finding young pitching talent this year.
Saw a new one today in this kid from Columbia. The country, that is.
Anyway, first major league game and he gives 1 run in the first and 0 in the next five.
Minor, another rookie is 5-1. Think he's pitching next game.
Liked him from the start. Very fluid throwing motion. Top's at about 92-93mph.
And got another rookie, can't remember his name, that's 4-2 I think.
Let's see...
Oh, Brain McCann gets the tough man award this week, as most catchers do, for getting tatooed right in the middle of his chest by a foul tip in the final loss to Phillies and taking another nasty one on the inside of his knee in the first game today that left a ugly knot.
Ross caught the second game. Was called the best backup in the league by announcer. He's a good hitter I know that.
Oh, Dan Uggla thought he was going to lose his family jewels today.
Forget who was hitting for NY, but he just SMOKED a line drive one hopper right at Uggla. Dan coundn't jump high enough! Missed the ball about 2 ft. Went right between his legs!
Luckly for Uggla, SS Gonzales missed an easy back hander the very next batter.
Extremely rare. It ought to be, cause I haven't seen him hit the ball in I don't know when. He even popped up a bunt the other day. Come on Alex, hit the cage.
Nothing else to say except Chipper Jones is truely a great player and team captain.
Take away his golden glove play at 3rd and his incredible artistry with a bat, and your still left with an onfield precence second to none.
Whether it blasting an upper deck shot or a clutch sacrifice to get that man on third home, making that long throw to first look easy every time or exhorting even the vets, that man comes to win every night.
Chipper you are the man!
Fear the chop!
PS- And he has beautiful brown eyes too.

Indeed.
Hey we don't NEED Jack!
We don't even like Jack!
In fact, if you see Jack,
:grits thru teeth:
You tell'um we're going kick his ass.

Thx, guys!
And only took me 6 1/2 yrs.
Did go MIA, or was that AWOL , for a year, but so glad I found my way back.
It may seem silly to some poeple, but only to those people that don't understand what a great place TRF is, how much TRF has meant to me.
It would be hard to find the kind of quality people all in one place that you will find here.
Outstanding moderation makes it work.
Wit, humor, wisdom, knowledge, and beauty can all be found within these hallowed halls.
Others can do what you, you just do it better.
In fact,
You guys are the best!

QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Sep 7 2011, 09:28 PM) Phillies sweep Braves, now 91-48, 10.5 lead on Braves... Best record in MLB.
That's right, get over confident.

Glad I missed game 2.
Went out and when I got back was told game was rained out.
Probally would have really said something bad then.
(perhaps I pushed a little hard with the other)
Game 3 hurt, man I thought we had ya.
We shall meet again tho, me thinks. When it REALLY counts.
But I'll concede you were the better team this time.
Just remember two of our bravest warriors (Jergens/Hanson) are being healed by medicine man.
Until then...

I guess the fear of not living up to my potential weighs on me now and then.
Wish I wouldda started fearing this earlier in life.
I haven't wasted my life, but I have wasted some of it. Precious time.
Wished I'd realized sooner life's more than fun and more about others than about myself.
But better late than never; things that matter take time and hopefully I've got enough left to make the difference I was suppose to make or atleast from that point on.
So I guess it's not doing my best. I try to be mindful.
I'm shakin it boss. I'm shakin it.

Specially cuz of the old Twilight Zone episode.
I think it has something to do with not looking at you when they talk.
but yeah,

QUOTE (bigman208 @ Sep 2 2011, 11:23 PM) Bats. Not baseball bats either. Those things that fly at night. Even if I see one sleeping on a wall during the day, I just about have a heart attack and have to walk the other way. Do you live in a haunted house?

She asked me today if I'd like to go to every home football game for FREE as her guest, since ROTC security are allowed to bring a guest each game they work.
I gleefully accepted. I get my briefing tomorrow.
I'm still in a state of utter shock and disbelief.
For me, going to a live Husker game isn't just a spectator sport.
It's an experience.
It's like a religious pilgrimage.
I owe this girl like everything. All I basically have to do is hang out with her and direct drunk people (or those perhaps bringing in alcohol -- not in MY Memorial Stadium!) to the nearest police officer.
I'm soooooooo excited. Not sure if she's doing the game tomorrow but she said it's a strong possibility.
Fresno State better watch OUT!
Wow! Pretty cool!
You're just settling right on in aren't you?
Good for you, Writer.
