  2. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Jul 31 2011, 07:06 PM) QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 29 2011, 10:40 AM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvkVFAKfS-Y Finding a song to use was not easy, but I ended up using "Leave That Thing Alone," which has an amazing bass riff throughout the song. Geddy really rocks that Fender Jazz bass. Love the birthday video! You always make such cute ones! I agree completely! Gorgeous pics, too!
  3. Oh, man, I can't believe I just found this thread! I'm glad it's still active... A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned, but here goes: Animate (pretty much the whole song) Cold Fire (staying up all night talking...) Presto (just a very romantic song in some ways) Ghost of a Chance (ditto) Between the Sun and Moon (the much discussed "aaah yes to yes..." along with "penetrate") In the Mood and Need Some Love (mmmm.... portrait of the artist as a young hormone bomb) Rivendell (sensitive '70s Ged!) Madrigal (see Rivendell) There are a TON more, but that's all I could think of off the top of my head...
  4. That was hard to choose!!! I went with Now, but I'll take Dirk from any era... (Now where did I put that TARDIS???)
  5. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 29 2011, 10:41 AM) QUOTE (SavageAmy @ Jul 28 2011, 07:49 PM) Well, you'd be in luck right now! Flares are coming back into style, which makes me very happy indeed... What do you mean by flares? Bellbottoms, basically... They call 'em flares now to avoid scaring off the fashion-phobic!
  6. Happy Birthday to Geddy! Expect me.... errr, your present, I mean, to show up in oh, about three hours. Don't cover the air holes!
  7. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 28 2011, 03:45 PM) Hey, Ged gals. Right now, I have a future project in mind: 70s Kahme. I'd like to sometime get some legitimate 70s clothes and go for the 70s Rush look. Bell bottoms, platform shoes, a large belt, a belt buckle, tinted glasses, all that cool stuff. I would also have to grow out my hair again. My hair as it is now wouldn't look right with everything else. Geddy's hair in the 70s reached the middle of his back. Gorgeous hair, I might add. http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/r30-22.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/rush_group_1974.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/Rush-74-5-patti2112.jpg Hmmm...I wonder how my classmates and teachers would react if I went to school wearing all 70s clothes and really long hair. I consider Rush's 70s music to be among their best work. Why not appreciate their dress style, too? I'm a bit of a retro, modern hippie chick. A proud one. Well, you'd be in luck right now! Flares are coming back into style, which makes me very happy indeed...
  8. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 25 2011, 04:51 PM) Woah, I just realized that Geddy's birthday is in four days. I'd like to make a video, like the one I uploaded last year on my YouTube channel. What Rush song should I use? I think you should use something that Geddy penned the lyrics for, like "Savage Amy is My Woman." Now, which album was that one on? My Favourite Headache? Oh, no, wait, it's on the album that exists only in my head!
  9. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 23 2011, 11:45 AM) I'd like to raise the heat a little more, if you ladies don't mind. http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/geddyfocus800.jpg This wallpaper was found at http://panacea.velvet-honey.com/, one of the many beautiful Geddy wallpapers. Back when my brother Mike had a large HD television screen that he rented, my old computer was being replaced by a new one and the old one was connected to the TV so my bro could back up all my files. I had this as my wallpaper at the time, and Mike made the joke that I could have a life-sized Geddy (the one in the upper right-hand corner). Then he added, "And you can't make out with it!" I just rolled my eyes and told him to be quiet. It's not like I'm some teenage fangirl that makes out with a *shudder* Justin Bieber poster. I have more dignity than that. And I'll throw this in for good measure: http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/gedvtyellowheat-Copy.jpg I just love this one. I don't think I need to explain why. *Fans herself* Yup, it's definitely hotter in here now. Nice wallpaper! And, nice photo! I myself am a big fan of this one... http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n639/savageamy/counterparts-39-1.jpg
  10. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Jul 21 2011, 08:26 PM) No wonder it's over 100 out...too many Rushgirls thinkin' 'bout Geddy So true!!!
  11. QUOTE (SavageAmy @ Jul 21 2011, 08:25 AM) So here in Rochester, we have a semi-legendary record store called the House of Guitars. This here was stolen from their Facebook page: http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n639/savageamy/geddyatthehog.jpg It's kind of a "thing" for musicians passing through to stop at the HOG... Other photos on their FB page included Steve Vai, Les Paul, Skid Row, Ozzy, etc. You get the drift! The other two guys in the photo are the owners of the store. All that aside; Geddy in leather? Mmmmmmmmrrrowwww.... Oh, and also the v-neck and little bit of chest hair? Ooooh!
  12. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 21 2011, 11:07 AM) QUOTE (SavageAmy @ Jul 21 2011, 08:52 AM) QUOTE (Analog Kelly @ Jul 21 2011, 08:38 AM) Wow- you'd think the two store owners would be happy to see Geddy...such sour faces! They always look like that... I know I'd be smiling, if that was me! If I were in their place, I'd be grinning wide like an idiot, or like an obsessed fangirl (which I am). That is if I would not faint the moment I saw Geddy. Honestly, I think I would start crying. Either that, or say something completely idiotic...

Mmmmmmmmrrrowwww.... Wow, Geddy looks amazing here, leather jacket included. When was this pic taken? It looks to be early 2000's. I'm not sure when it was taken! I'm going to guess, since it's just him and not Lerxst and him (which as we know, it usually is) that it may have been while he was doing press for "My Favourite Headache." Just a guess, though!

  19. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jul 15 2011, 11:56 AM) It'll be a long wait until the next album and tour. We need more Geddy! http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/testforecho-18.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/r30-22.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/r30-92.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/GeddyGUP.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/GeddyPresto.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/GeddyRTB2.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/GeddyCounterparts2.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/vaportrails-43.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/Gorgeous%20Geddy/time-machine-12.jpg A little bit of something for everyone. So true, Kahme!! Well done!
  20. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Jul 10 2011, 08:41 PM) Yeah, I was just thinking he looks like he got his hair trimmed between the first and second pics! Gotta keep those ends in shape, I guess. Imagine being his hairdresser and getting to bury your hands in those locks all the time... Ooh, I just felt faint! Must be the summer heat...
  21. I've been out of town for a few days visiting the in-laws, and Sexy Geddy Keyboard Day was a great welcome home present! Well done, all!
  22. QUOTE (hobo73 @ Jul 5 2011, 01:03 PM) uh oh is it bad to have a nerd crush on Geddy?? lol If it's bad, I don't wanna be good! (Well, I'm usually bad where our Ged is concerned...) He's so super-hot...
  23. QUOTE (MCM @ Jun 26 2011, 08:15 PM) QUOTE (SavageAmy @ Jun 25 2011, 12:33 PM) http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n639/savageamy/geddypurple.jpg This is from the era my friend and I refer to as "Rush raids their mothers' closets pre-show," but who can resist that cute little butt? I wonder if he could be talked into bringing the tight white bell bottoms out of the archives one more time? I'd vote for it! I would definitely be getting front-row seats, then!
