  1. Hershey Park was another great concert -- but what else is new :) It was great to see the crowd really into the show...and the band were as energized as ever. I took a few (hundred) pics from the show -- which you can view at the link below. Enjoy.. http://cygnus-x1.net...-06.21.2013.php
  2. A couple of days ago, the official trailer for the upcoming Clockwork Angels Concert film was posted -- then removed -- then posted again -- then removed again...etc... For those of you who missed it, you can download the MP4 version of the trailer at the following link. Since I'm hosting the trailer on my site, it won't be removed (well, unless Rush come a knocking at my door that is...) http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2013/06/rushs-clockwork-angels-tour-concert.html Enjoy-
  3. For those interested in seeing some pics from the Sweden Rock Festival, click the link below... http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-sweden-rock-festival-06.08.2013.php And if you're interested in photos from every Clockwork Angels show, head on over to this page... http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/tourdates.php#CLOCKWORK Enjoy-
  4. Sunday morning bump -- only a few days left to vote... Trying to get back into the top 10 for final judging consideration. Thanks everyone!
  5. And, again, thanks to everyone for their support. This is clearly going to be an uphill battle -- but regardless of the outcome, I'm really appreciative of everyone's votes -- and kind words about my site. :rush:
  6. You guys are great - thanks for your continued support. Voting ends June 10th...then the judges select the overall winner...but I believe i need to be in the top 3 for final consideration. So, again, thank you ALL so much for your support!
  7. Thanks everyone -- I really appreciate it. Rush fans - they're simply the greatest :)
  8. Hey Everyone- I've been a member of this forum since early 2005, and I've been running my Rush Tribute website (www.cygnus-x1.net) for almost nine years now. In all that time, I've tried to bring Rush fans as much band-related content and news as possible. I've held many contests in the pass providing fans with Rush swag, tour books, videos and more. Now, I'd like to offer up a custom Geddy Lee Bass Clockwork Angels Bass Guitar to one lucky fan -- but I need your help first. I'm a resident in NJ and a local (NYC) radio station (Q104.3) is holding a contest for NY/NJ residents to name the 'Ultimate Rush Fan'. The prize package includes a pair of tickets to the upcoming Jones Beach NY show, a M&G pass and the bass guitar. I've entered the contest and now would humbly ask for your votes to win. You can vote for me at this link (one vote per day is permitted) http://www.q1043.com/c/?s If I do emerge victorious (long shot, I know) I'll turn around of raffle off the bass guitar. Some of my friends have asked why I would even give away a guitar -- arguably the best part of the prize package. The answer is the same for why I run Cygnus-X1.Net -- because I like to give back to the fans... So, if you could vote for me -- often - I'd really appreciate it! Thanks All!!
  9. Thanks all - I'm glad you like the pictures. The camera I used was a Nikon Coolpix S9400 with an 18x Optical Zoom. For a small pocket camera, it packs quite a punch :) And yes - that was indeed Gerry who posed with my YYZ license plate. He stopped by a little pre-show gathering we were having. I spoke to him for a few minutes -- incredibly nice guy who seemed to be really enjoying the tour... On a final note, with the same camera, I took a short video of Neil's brief drum solo. You can check it out here: Enjoy-
  10. In the thirty years of seeing Rush, I've never had front row seats. Until last night in Atlantic City. To commemorate the occasion, I snapped off one or two (hundred) pics for your viewing pleasure... http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-atlantic-city-05.11.2013.php Enjoy-
  11. Check 'em out... http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-mohegan-sun-05.09.2013.php Close enough to see every wrinkle :-)
  12. I'll be going to the AC show as well - hope to take a few good pics from that event too :-)
  13. Below is a link to a really great gallery of photos taken from the 3rd row at last night's concert in Baltimore... http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-baltimore-05.07.2013.php I hope I get some pics of this quality when I see the boys in A.C. this weekend... To see see galleries from every other show during the 2012-13 Clockwork Angels tour, click the following link: http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/tourdates.php#CLOCKWORK Enjoy-
  14. The extensive feature on Rush that appears in issue #35 (April 2013) of PROG magazine is now online at the following link: http://cygnus-x1.net...rog-04.2013.php There will be additional content added to this page in the near future. The hardcover special-edition of this magazine includes some 14 additional pages on content. Once I receive my copy, I'll scan/transcribe that information as well and add it to the page. In the mean time, the article that appeared in the soft-bound magazine contains 45 stories (over 45 years) from the band members themselves. Most are fairly common knowledge, but there were a few interesting tidbits as well... Enjoy all-
  15. For your viewing pleasure... http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-los-angeles-04.18.2013.php Over 60 photos and videos from last night's event. Enjoy-
  16. Since the ceremonies in LA will NOT be televised live, you can still follow along with all of the happenings at the following link: http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2013/04/time-stand-still-rush-inducted-into.html I'll be tracking all of the news, photos, interviews and more -- and, of course, the songs Rush play -- and will be posting all of the updates throughout the night. It's not the same as being there - that's for sure - but hey, it's better than nothing :-)
  17. I can only imagine what it would have been like to see the boys play live in support of Hemispheres... this batch of photos - admittedly not the best - at least gives me a modest idea of what it would have been like... http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-louisville-01.30.1979.php Enjoy-
  18. Stumbled across another set of vintage tour pictures, this time from the 'AFTK' tour. This set of 21 pictures was taken on March 21st, 1978 in Chattanooga, TN... http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-chattanooga-03.21.1978.php Enjoy-
  19. This is just SO wrong... http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2013/04/founding-rush-drummer-john-rutsey.html
  20. For the Rush fan who has everything... http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2013/04/special-rush-edition-of-prog-magazine.html If this is anything like the CA Fan Pack, then it should be spectacular... Too bad it's always a UK magazine that creates such great special features on Rush...You think some US rags would get the hint...
  21. I know what you mean. I've watched every season of Idol -- more just for the entertainment of spectacular failures... :) But for some reason, I just couldn't get into it this year. Largely because of Minaj and Mariah... it was more about them and less about the contestants...at least, that's the way it was early on... Idol has jumped the shark - no question about it...
  22. Video seems to be unblocked now... http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2013/04/rushs-limelight-featured-on-american.html
  23. Well, there's been another 'Rush Sighting' on American Idol... Video - and all the information - available at this link: http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2013/04/rushs-limelight-featured-on-american.html Enjoy-
  24. Here's another set of vintage color photos from the 'All the World's a Stage' tour... taken from the February 15th, 1977 show in Chattanooga, TN at the Memorial Auditorium. http://cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-chattanooga-02.15.1977.php Enjoy-
