As most fans know, Neil Peart's talents go beyond drumming and writing lyrics. He's an accomplished author who has published numerous books over the years. What some fans may not know, however, is that Neil privately published a number of books earlier in his career. One such book, The African Drum, details his adventures travelling through Africa in the mid-80's. Sure many of the films were previously released but isn't that really the point of a box set? To bring together previously released content into one package and throw in some unreleased material to boot? And given the incredible packaging behind this effort, as witnessed by the photos and artwork above, I think it's something every fan should truly consider buying. Just my 2 cents (and $100).
