The plot thickens. Apparently the members of Rising West were banned from posting on Queensryche's FB page and official page. However, there's tons of promotion for Geoff's "solo" tour.

 

Not looking good for the core of Queensryche ever playing with Geoff again, which might not be a bad thing!!

Otherwise, this is a very solid album with a lot to LOVE in every single song!!

 

At first I didn't like Halo Effect but I've changed my mind on that one.

Initial (well after a few days) reaction is p/g. That might just be new RUSH excitement talking though.

 

However, it's definitely better than VT and S&A and I loved both of those albums!! Also, it's far superior to T4E.

Not a huge fan of the strings on there but this is a really beautiful song!

So far, I've liked everything I've heard...though Halo Effect was a bit slow. I'll need to dig into the lyrics more on that one.

Like him or hate him, you can't say his vocals were not a big, big part of the overall Queensryche sound. Boy bands, like this, are cyclical. Those too young to remember the last incarnation are doomed to repeat the insanity. Luckily, they have about a 6 month shelf-life and will be gone before you realize it.
