I've always wondered...
How do the Boys pronounce YYZ? I've heard it referred to both the Canadian and American way.
-
Mike Smith as Alex
Alex Lifeson as Bubbles
-
Sweeeeet.
Gotta love an antihero.

When you hear even 2 seconds of Rush material referenced at other concerts*, and you go bananas...
*Tom Sawyer and Spirit of Radio quoted in "Grade 9" at BNL concert last year. Had to be paying attention to catch SoR.

I was just waiting for them to throw roast chicken into the crowd on this tour. The boys let me down

Aha, I KNEW I remembered seeing a low F on sheet music before...
In Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres, in the spacey intro leading up before "Apollo was astonished" --
"...thunderbolts, across the sky, I cannot move, I cannot hide, I feel a silent scream begin inside."
The red "I" is a low F, F2. That's too low for most natural tenors to reach. Most males are baritones, and F2 is at the very bottom of their range, some being able to hit the low E2 or D2 with a struggle (or when we first wake up in the morning) wink.gifI don't know which keyboard you're using, but F2 is an octave below what Geddy can sing. The red "I" is F3--a P5 below middle C.
I don't know if the note in "Available Light" can truly be considered here--I've always been convinced that he processed his voice through some kind of machine to get that note--it does NOT sound natural, even for him. It sounds to me like he dovetailed a synth track into his voice track for that one note. Am I in left field on this?!

"Listen boys, the Vatican has a problem with "the saint is turning to sin".
Nice!! I don't think Broon had a hand in Presto though.
(if that's Broon. )
That's definitely Yousef Karsh, the portrait photographer who took their beauty shots for GuP. Not Broon.

Holy crap, that's clever. Might be better published in stages though; trying to get through the whole list in one go fries my brain. Still though--pretty damn funny.

Ugh...milk was a bad choice.

I'm surprised noone has mentioned Star Trek: First Contact yet. I think it's easily the best of all TNG movies.
I also have to say Blade Runner, Terminator, The Matrix, Back to the Future and Woody Allen's Sleeper. Hilarious movie!

I saw it last night, and on the whole I liked it. The special effects were amazing, I really liked the way they did Zaphod's two heads, and Marvin was just fantastic.
On the down side, I think they seriously didn't do justice to the book, and they focused too much on the love story. Ford got hardly any attention at all!

A spinoff TV series?
Wasn't Lucas' last attempt at a Star Wars TV show the Star Wars Christmas Special?

"...and Geddy wonders why I didn't take the Blue Pill..."
Sorry about the size; I couldn't find a smaller one.

I really enjoyed this movie. I think some of the best parts are when the two of them are wine tasting, the writer gives an elaborate and verbose appraisal, and the actor just replies "Yeah, I think it tastes good."

I have to go with Moving Pictures, though it was an extremely tough call between that and Counterparts.

I didn't think it was this tricky...
Here's a hint: Where is the picture being taken from?

That's not it either, I'm afraid.
Both good guesses, though.
