I thought this was simply a rumor on this thread. If its true, I dunno how much I would like it. Rush has always been an insider band for me, only myself and few select people know about them. And of those few that know them, they know MP and PerWaves stuff, maybe a few select songs on earlier albums, but absolutly nothing from post Signals.

You make a movie like this, it brings the mainstream into Rush and you get a lot of pseudo-fans saying they love the band. I like the fact that when I talk to people about music, there is a band that only I know about. Its like a secret that only I and a few other open people know about.

But then again, it might finally shut all those critics up who continually bash the band for Geddy's voice or thier so-called pretentious attitude towards music (I never ever once had this impression of them) It might even boost Vapor Trails up a bit and hear it on the radio as people might actually start to listen to the lyrics. I would love to be able to hear newer material on the radio longer then a couple months after release in addition to Tom Sawyer or Limelight.

    Excellent point, Moon.

It was recorded for a ProTools class I took Fall of last year. I recorded it at my home studio and mixed it my office at work. I recorded the drums first as a test for new mics. When I got into the class I needed something for a final project so I figured why not go all the way since the guitar solo is not too difficult (I fgured it out as I recorded it). I have all kinds of partially recorded tunes from tone or ear tests. Sometimes if I am going for a particular tone I'll record myself or if I want to test my ear (reproducing accurately what I hear).

I assume you got an A and a job offer on that one...

  4. QUOTE (BSG @ Sep 1 2004, 04:14 PM)
A man and his wife were working in their garden one day and the man looks over at his wife and says: "Your butt is getting really big, I mean really big. I bet your butt is bigger than the barbecue." With that he proceeded to get a measuring tape and measured the grill and then went over to where his wife was working and measured his wife's bottom. Yes, I was right, your butt is two inches wider than the barbecue!!!" The woman chose to ignore her husband. Later that night in bed, the husband is feeling a little frisky. He makes some advances towards his wife who completely brushes him off. What's wrong?" he asks. She answers: "Do you really think I'm going to fire up this big-ass grill for one little weenie?"

Can anyone see these pictures? - I can't on my machine, but I can't see a lot of other pics on the board either, so maybe the problem's on my end.

The prob isn't here - that URL - http://gallery.yimg.com is not allowing pictures to be pulled from their site like that - use photobucket and you shouldn't have any problem

What about combining a couple threads into one 'Family Photo Album - wub.gif '...

I see a thread of 'Who Are You'
(who who , who who...sorry - had the CSI theme in my head there for a minute)
and another with 'posting a pic'

As people come and go through our little site, maybe a place of ref. to see a face with a nic-name and their little write-up. Members could add to their description as families grow (baby pics, birthday parties, wedding , engagments, etc...)

RR - as we discussed over the weekend about the uploading of pictures, this might not fly but it's a thought. Maybe a separate link, site, etc.... confused13.gif

I just thought it would be faster than to locate the thread first, then scim through trying to locate someone's nic and read up on their background.

(OK Chip - step down, shut the hell up) rofl3.gif

I think that is a great idea - havea p hotobucket link for anyone who wants to post pics... I will work on this and talk to the others

Whilst I'm at it, I should say that I just uploaded a picture to my profile, and where it says 'picture size limited to 150kb' just underneath, it has the pixel ratio limits, but it would appear you haven't set them. It just says 'pixels by pixels'.

Small details I know, but you might have missed it. bekloppt.gif

AHHHH I see what you mean now - the PROFILE area... Sorry - I will set that up now - Thanks man! trink39.gif

I think having those blank allows for you to set it if needed - 150K???? Should say 60k! Iwill look into it
