RushFanForever
On February 7th, 2020 there's a box set titled Goodbye Tour Live 1968, by Cream that will be released. Rolling Stone magazine posted an unreleased version of Crossroads here from the San Diego concert to hear. Every drummer including Neil Peart woodshedded to the well known historical version from Wheels of Fire. Here's some information about 'Crossroads in Guitar World here. I remember reading somewhere that one of the microphones for the drums was possibly knocked over (this could've happened when Ginger entered the venue, referenced in Guitar World article), which is why the drums sound the way they do. When I hear this song headphones on, in the verses I hear just cymbals and during the soloing I hear the rest of the drums, but they sound faint. In the new unreleased version, I can hear the drums more clearly and can spot the subtle tempo change differences as well I'm posting both Cream versions of 'Crossroads', along with the RUSH cover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIgX4e2Z9Qk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnNe4gxw35k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39RyajN9fsY Edited January 16, 2020 by RushFanForever
