  1. DEEP PURPLE will release its new album, "Whoosh!", on June 12 via earMUSIC. The legendary rockers' 21st studio LP was once again helmed by Canadian producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, PINK FLOYD, ALICE COOPER), who also worked on DEEP PURPLE's last two studio albums, 2017's "Infinite" and 2013's "Now What?!" Together they created the most versatile album in their collaboration. DEEP PURPLE "stretched out in all directions" without any limitation, letting their creativity go. "DEEP PURPLE is putting the Deep back into Purple" was the half-joking motto in the studio after the first songs made it clear that Ezrin and PURPLE were on their path to creating an album pushing the boundaries of time, while voicing their resentment about the current situation of the world and addressing all generations. "Whoosh!" will be available as limited CD+DVD mediabook (including the one-hour feature "Roger Glover And Bob Ezrin In Conversation" and, for the first time, the full live performance at Hellfest 2017 as video), 2LP+DVD edition, limited boxset and digital. "We've included everything that made the whole band smile, including Bob Ezrin. We've always enjoyed making music and having the incredible luxury of a loyal audience," said guitarist Steve Morse. 5. It's because of the recent George Floyd-BLM protests. I think it's an innocuous connection but whatever. One thing I do know though, if Lynch Mob had been a super successful money-maker of a band there's no way they'd be dropping the name. At this point though Lynch Mob is just another of Lynch's obscure side projects so it's easy to get rid of.
  6. Since about 1998 De Niro's career and reputation has been on a slow downward spiral. It's not just the crap comedies, the straight to video dreck, the hackneyed thrillers, the phoned-in performances, it's the overall feeling that he's completely sold out. Here's the latest thing. Can you imagine the De Niro of the 70's and 80's doing a thing like this? It's not like he needs the money, why do it?

  8. This is how I rank them right now. I've not listened to the latest one, In Cauda Venenum, that much yet so it's place in the rankings could change in the future. Damnation is low compared to a lot of people maybe but I've always found that album a little flat and Orchid doesn't grab me as much as it used to. 1. Ghost Reveries 2. Blackwater Park 3. Deliverance 4. Still Life 5. Watershed 6. My Arms Your Hearse 7. Morningrise 8. Pale Communion 9. Sorceress 10. In Cauda Venenum 10. Heritage 12. Damnation 13. Orchid
  9. She wants some sympathy but only a little. She's orange-brown and furry but somehow blonde as well. How does anyone feel about the Little Koala Bear Girl? What the hell am I talking about?? :hi:
  10. Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd seem to be the most popular bands on TRF as well as RUSH, but which is the most popular of the two? Which of them would you rather listen to?
  11. KANSAS, America's legendary progressive rock band, will release its new studio album, "The Absence Of Presence", on June 26 via InsideOut Music. The LP follows 2016's "The Prelude Implicit", which debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. "The Absence Of Presence" features nine all-new tracks written by KANSAS, produced by Zak Rizvi, and co-produced by Phil Ehart and Richard Williams. KANSAS's signature sound is unmistakable throughout. The album showcases Ronnie Platt's towering vocals, David Ragsdale's searing violin, Tom Brislin's dazzling keyboards, Williams and Rizvi's electrifying guitar riffs, Ehart's powerful drums, and Billy Greer's rocking bass. "We are really proud of the album 'The Absence Of Presence'," comments KANSAS guitarist, producer, and songwriter Zak Rizvi. "Making a new KANSAS album sets a very high musical standard that is expected from our fans. From rockers, to progressive epics, to ballads, there is something on this recording for everybody." This fall, KANSAS will be taking its very popular "Point Of Know Return" anniversary tour to Europe for 13 dates in October and November. The "Point of Know Return" anniversary European tour will include songs from "The Absence Of Presence", classic hits and deep cuts, and will culminate with the iconic album "Point Of Know Return" performed in its entirety. "It's been a while since the band has been able to perform in Europe, where we have some very passionate fans," adds KANSAS guitarist Richard Williams. "We are excited to take the 'Point Of Know Return' anniversary tour across Europe. Not only will they hear us perform that album in its entirety, along with other hits and deep cuts, but they will be the first fans to hear some of the songs from 'The Absence Of Presence' performed live." KANSAS has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, and is famous for classic hits such as "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust In The Wind' to progressive epics like "Song For America". After wrapping-up current U.S. dates for the "Point Of Know Return" anniversary tour this spring, KANSAS will debut a track from "The Absence Of Presence" live this summer during the "Juke Box Heroes" 2020 tour when the band will hit the road with FOREIGNER and EUROPE. Tickets for the KANSAS "Point of Know Return" anniversary European tour will go on sale this week. http://www.kansasband.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/TAOP-Vinyl-front-cover-1024x1024.jpg
