Musical Instruments You Play

  1. His solo album would probably be the obvious choice here but that's not with KISS that's with other musicians, although I do think of it as a KISS album. Anyway we know that one would win so I've not included it in the poll. So which is it?
  2. Here's the Priest top 5 I currently have: 1. Sad Wings of Destiny 2. Stained Class 3. Killing Machine 4. Sin After Sin 5. Screaming For Vengeance
  3. A list of 15 guitarists from the 60's and 70's, just pick the one that you prefer most. Edit: To include Uli Jon Roth.
  4. This is a bigger poll, just pick who you like best or who you think is the best one from this group of 20.
  5. All these guys are around the same age, two of them are 65, two are 66 and Gary would have been 68.
  6. This is how I rank them right now. I've not listened to the latest one, In Cauda Venenum, that much yet so it's place in the rankings could change in the future. Damnation is low compared to a lot of people maybe but I've always found that album a little flat and Orchid doesn't grab me as much as it used to. 1. Ghost Reveries 2. Blackwater Park 3. Deliverance 4. Still Life 5. Watershed 6. My Arms Your Hearse 7. Morningrise 8. Pale Communion 9. Sorceress 10. In Cauda Venenum 10. Heritage 12. Damnation 13. Orchid
  7. There's Ozzy, Priest, Dokken and Aerosmith all striking. Which is best? Which is it??

  11. RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson says that he will spend the next 14 days "self-quarantining" to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. Earlier today, Lifeson took to RUSH's official Twitter to write: "Just returned from Spring Break with my gKids. We are all self quarantining for 14 days. All travellers should. Looking forward to getting caught up on Netflix!! Send your top viewing suggestions. – Alex" The province of Ontario, where Alex lives, currently has the largest number of COVID-19 cases in Canada. On Saturday, Ontario reported 24 new cases, the highest daily increase since the outbreak began, bringing the total number of cases to 103. There have been more than 169,000 confirmed cases and more than 6,000 deaths so far, putting public health systems and emergency services under immense pressure. Officials have made it clear that the elderly — especially those with heart, lung and immunological conditions — are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus, with at least 25 deaths linked to one nursing home in Washington. In Italy, which has one of the oldest populations in the world, one hundred percent of the people who have died have been over 60, and the vast majority over 80
  12. KANSAS, America's legendary progressive rock band, will release its new studio album, "The Absence Of Presence", on June 26 via InsideOut Music. The LP follows 2016's "The Prelude Implicit", which debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. "The Absence Of Presence" features nine all-new tracks written by KANSAS, produced by Zak Rizvi, and co-produced by Phil Ehart and Richard Williams. KANSAS's signature sound is unmistakable throughout. The album showcases Ronnie Platt's towering vocals, David Ragsdale's searing violin, Tom Brislin's dazzling keyboards, Williams and Rizvi's electrifying guitar riffs, Ehart's powerful drums, and Billy Greer's rocking bass. "We are really proud of the album 'The Absence Of Presence'," comments KANSAS guitarist, producer, and songwriter Zak Rizvi. "Making a new KANSAS album sets a very high musical standard that is expected from our fans. From rockers, to progressive epics, to ballads, there is something on this recording for everybody." This fall, KANSAS will be taking its very popular "Point Of Know Return" anniversary tour to Europe for 13 dates in October and November. The "Point of Know Return" anniversary European tour will include songs from "The Absence Of Presence", classic hits and deep cuts, and will culminate with the iconic album "Point Of Know Return" performed in its entirety. "It's been a while since the band has been able to perform in Europe, where we have some very passionate fans," adds KANSAS guitarist Richard Williams. "We are excited to take the 'Point Of Know Return' anniversary tour across Europe. Not only will they hear us perform that album in its entirety, along with other hits and deep cuts, but they will be the first fans to hear some of the songs from 'The Absence Of Presence' performed live." KANSAS has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, and is famous for classic hits such as "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust In The Wind' to progressive epics like "Song For America". After wrapping-up current U.S. dates for the "Point Of Know Return" anniversary tour this spring, KANSAS will debut a track from "The Absence Of Presence" live this summer during the "Juke Box Heroes" 2020 tour when the band will hit the road with FOREIGNER and EUROPE. Tickets for the KANSAS "Point of Know Return" anniversary European tour will go on sale this week. http://www.kansasband.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/TAOP-Vinyl-front-cover-1024x1024.jpg
  13. Hammer horror films (1950's/1960's/1970's) vs Universal (1930's/1940's/1950's) When Universal stopped making horror films after Abbot and Costello Meet the Mummy (1955) another studio began production just a couple of years later in 1957...
  14. DEEP PURPLE will release its new album, "Whoosh!", on June 12 via earMUSIC. The legendary rockers' 21st studio LP was once again helmed by Canadian producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, PINK FLOYD, ALICE COOPER), who also worked on DEEP PURPLE's last two studio albums, 2017's "Infinite" and 2013's "Now What?!" Together they created the most versatile album in their collaboration. DEEP PURPLE "stretched out in all directions" without any limitation, letting their creativity go. "DEEP PURPLE is putting the Deep back into Purple" was the half-joking motto in the studio after the first songs made it clear that Ezrin and PURPLE were on their path to creating an album pushing the boundaries of time, while voicing their resentment about the current situation of the world and addressing all generations. "Whoosh!" will be available as limited CD+DVD mediabook (including the one-hour feature "Roger Glover And Bob Ezrin In Conversation" and, for the first time, the full live performance at Hellfest 2017 as video), 2LP+DVD edition, limited boxset and digital. "We've included everything that made the whole band smile, including Bob Ezrin. We've always enjoyed making music and having the incredible luxury of a loyal audience," said guitarist Steve Morse. Track listing: 01. Throw My Bones 02. Drop The Weapon 03. We're All The Same In The Dark 04. Nothing At All 05. No Need To Shout 06. Step By Step 07. What The What 08. The Long Way Round 09. The Power Of The Moon 10. Remission Possible 11. Man Alive 12. And The Address 13. Dancing In My Sleep DEEP PURPLE will embark on a full European tour starting in late May.
