Personally, both are AMAZING albums, and although both get a 9/10 rating from me, one is definitely closer to a 10/10 than the other. For me, Grace Under Pressure. But when it comes down to it, which of these two albums, the first Rush albums post-Terry Brown, takes home the glory?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but if you haven't been to the Canadian Museum of History's website and seen their Rush collection, you have to check it out! Rush donated a bunch of gear to them and they have amazing pics of all of it on their website: http://www.historymuseum.ca/ Go to the "Learn" section at the bottom of the home page, click the Collections link, and enter "Rush", or "Rush Guitars", "Rush Drums", etc and feast your eyes. Alex's black Strat (the "Pork Flapsocaster"---oh, Lerxst), the "Xanadu" doublenecks, Neil's "Counterparts" kit, Geddy's Minimoog and OBXa, all kinds of stuff. Here's a sample: http://www.historymuseum.ca/collections/artifact/1370155/?q=Rush+Guitar&page_num=1&item_num=5&media_irn=5471450 http://www.historymuseum.ca/collections/artifact/1370162/?q=Rush+Guitar&page_num=1&item_num=4&media_irn=5471443 http://www.historymuseum.ca/collections/artifact/1370160/?q=Rush+Guitar&page_num=1&item_num=6&media_irn=5471446 Enjoy!

Well this is it. One more great album removed from the "old school" half of the equation. Now it is the beginning of the band (which most seem to dislike) and the transition into their ultimate epicness against the point of "change", synths and beyond. The critics panned it. Neil (at least) seems to hate it and is embarrassed by it. I love it. I wouldn't trade away those 6 albums for the rest of the catalog. Just couldn't do it. I am guessing many and maybe most of you could. If I were to throw in the live album of that era, you couldn't pry those 7 albums from my hands for anybody else's entire catalog. What say you?... :codger: Edit: Natural Science, Jacob's Ladder I shall miss ye very very much... :sigh:
