    Ok kids, stop playing that new record about a voiceless crow and gather round: Granda HPL is gonna tell you a story. Once there was a songwriter called Merle Travis. He was one hell of a guitarist too. But that's not the point today. Today we're going to talk about his miner songs. He wrote many of them and performed them too. These are songs of hardship, bleak present, no future. Still, there's always some humor, some strenght, like these men are undefeatable. But maybe the best-known versions of his songs are these two.
