  1. who cares about them touring again. they are old and ged cant sing anymore. they even announced this as a going away tour. let it go.. enjoy what they left us.. stop with the touring and over charging us and having to deal with all the drunk fans and outrageous parking fees. stop stop stop...

I agree. Very nice last tour. Time to find other live acts. It's ok to love Rush forever, i know i will.

  2. loved that song when it was first released and thought it worked great live at the beginning, but certainly after 3 tours it became stale. that being said i really would not mind a couple tracks off vapor trails compared to repeat stuff from snakes or CA. anyone know why there was so little played from vapor trails when they toured for that? you think geddy just couldn't play bass and sing some of those songs together?

would not mind hearing vapor trail, peaceable kingdom or stars look down.

Vapor trail would be fine with me. Just not OLV. ONe of the few songs that makes me cringe.

  3. Sorry to be such a downer, but I think it's time for them to hang it up after this tour. I've been following this band for a long time and I just feel like this is the time. I feel sorry for fans that just began to love this band the past 10 yrs or so. If they do continue on, I don't think you'll ever see them in a huge arena again with huge production. This tour, I'm taking my 12 year old son to a show. Its gonna be great to have him there with me. He's grown up with Rush pushed down his throat.

As far as more shows here in USA or across the pond, I just don't see it. Geddy's voice just can't hold up anymore. Not that it can't hold up, he just struggles singing the older tunes.

  4. The weapon, Marathon, Limelight, Between the Wheels, LVS. Could go on and on, but those were the first to come to mind. The above posters are correct. He's the member of the band that put's all the emotion in the music. And don't forget the Garden. Classic Alex.

  5. The lighting and production on the latest tour is so far above anything in the past, there's no comparison. I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, or looking at.

Every fixture on that stage can perform multiple effects, change to any color/or multiple, and do them with exact precision. The complete automation, scanning and tracking capabilities makes it possible to pull off any scene imaginable. Not to mention they are almost entirely LED and produce very little heat. They use about 1/3 less fixtures to produce 10 times the show, and no 'par cans'. All intelligent lighting, programmed perfectly to each song.

Honestly, if you don't feel this latest tour was "visually stunning", then you won't be impressed at any concert. The lighting on this tour was about as good as I've ever seen, from any band.

The lighting on the current Rush Tour and on the Time Machine Tour blew my away. They dumped the lasers and went totally state of the art!

I thought I read somewhere that Geddy and Alex went to George Lucas and hired Industrial Light And Sound to create their new lighting system.

"May The Force 10 Be With You"

    LOL!

    RUSH RULES!

    FUKK THE HATERS!

The end of the 2nd set is always cool lighting wise. First set is lacking in a big way. Just let it rip the whole show.

  6. I was watching some videos on youtube from the Roll the Bones tour, Presto, Counterparts, and TFE tours. What happened to the sick light set ups?? The lighting now is good, but no where near the level it was in the 90's. Why is that??? The stage set up for the roll the bones tour was insane.
