Those are amazing! Are you an architect?

Agreed, very well drawn... are they real buildings or conceptual?

  3. Update 12 November 2010 - Background detail finished, running a little behind schedule but just the car to do now.

I hate blowing my own trumpet but I gotta say it looks absolutely gorgeous printed, even in this unfinished state... I will let you guys know when prints are available to buy, or keep an eye on rushisaband.com for a heads-up.

  4. I have enjoyed reading through this thread as much as reading King biggrin.gif

My claim to fame is writing to mr. K when I was young and naive, offering a painting I had done for use as The Tommyknockers paperback cover art, to which he politely replied that the art had already been done and it was not needed. Still got that old typewritten letter somewhere...

Anyhoo, nice reviews sir, and I look forward to your views on 'It', which is still by far my favourite.

Stephen King's Under the Dome. Looong, but so far so good.

Me too... about a third through and it's pretty slow paced so far, was expecting some old skool King but it's not really doing it for me. Maybe it will pick up later.

  7. Update: 4 May 2010 - Barchetta line-work done, ready to slap on the overpaint.

The local Ferrari dealership in my little corner of the world has already reserved a framed limited edition for their showroom, woot!

Very nice! You definitely have talent. What were the originals done in?

Edit: I just looked at the title of the thread. Are these completely digital or do you use painting medium? My brother is a fine artist who paints mostly in oils. I didn't know that you could do that digitally.

Thanx for the comments guys biggrin.gif

Yes all my work is digital, but I used to paint with oils so I paint as if using traditional media with a Wacom graphics pad and pen. Less turpentine!

    UPDATE 21/04/10:

Just finished sketching out the line work for the Barchetta painting, my version is based on no model in particular but borrows details from several of the 25 that were built.

    And in rough composition:

  9. Howdy Per, glad you like it smile.gif

All my artwork is painted freehand on PC using an A5 Wacom Intuos 2 pad and custom brushes. Same kind of work process and time as traditional media such as airbrush or oils, but with precision detail, huge scale, and no mess biggrin.gif

  10. I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Attacked ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.

I watched C beams... glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.

All those... moments will be lost... in time

    like...

    tears... in rain.

    Time... to die.

  11. Counterparts is one of my faves too, though I can't put my finger on why exactly, as it was such a mainstream album compared to the rest when it was released. I love Animate and Double Agent, but for me it would have to be Leave That Thing Alone! i'm a sucker for the instrumentals.

  12. The Thing is a movie that should never be touched by the grubby fingers of cash-ins, lest it is forced into hiding its shameful face like the mighty First Blood, Highlander and Predator. Leave well-enough alone, dammit!

    Sequels are for Police Academy.

  13. Howdy peeps, yet another noob to add to the collection, soz biggrin.gif

Me lurk-you long-time, but only just signed up - thought i'd introduce myself by sharing my artwork. Limited Edition Prints are available at my site - clicky le siggy for more info, hope you enjoy!
