  1. QUOTE (Mara @ Jul 15 2010, 11:45 AM)
Oh good lord. In Section 103? Good luck to the dumbass listing those.

Seriously. 2nd row center for $1,923.90 a pop? Even if the seats were on stage, I wouldn't pay that much. And the VIP parking is a scam. They want $30 to park in the "special" parking area, but if you get there when gates open, you can park right next to that for free. On the VT tour, I remember mocking (to myself) the people who paid $30 to park 4 feet from me.

Ya,staying at Mohegan..we go up there often, and we get reduced room rates...but even if we didn't get the special rates,I think a room would be around $199.00 or so..

I'm not sure if this link will work, but let's try:

    https://mymohegansun.com/CGI-BIN/LANSAWEB?W...E65E071+SUN+ENG

Just in case it doesn't work, what I'm trying to link to is:

    Jul. 19, 2010 thru Jul. 20, 2010

    King NonSmoking

    Mon. 19

    $459.00

    Total:$459.00

I couldn't find any room cheaper, whether it was a king, double queen, or deluxe cove suite, smoking or non. Sounds like you got a sweet discount!

    I'll be there...have some great tickets,sec 15 row 4..wife and I are staying overnight also..$69.00 room... 1022.gif

You're not staying at Mohegan, are you? Aren't rooms there like $450/night?

He certainly has made a name for himself!

Chris Langone is the new Solaris Blueraven.  ph34r.gif

Results 1 - 10 of about 50,200 for chris langone sues rush. (0.57 seconds)
    Search Results

Let's be fair, now. You only turn up those results if you're already searching for him suing Rush. If you just search his name, only 2 out of 11 links on the first page are about the suit. I don't know the guy, but I'm willing to bet there's more to him than this suit, and you'll get less results regarding it if you're not specifically searching for it.

Note to self: Never, EVER buy tickets through Stub Hub no.gif

I don't think there's anything wrong with StubHub, although I wish most people would sell tix a lot closer to retail price. That said, I think that going through StubHub would still have worked in this situation, had the ticket been purchased for a closer - and indoor - venue. I have no issue buying a reasonably priced ticket from them for a local venue in which I'm only out my driving time if the show is rescheduled. I wouldn't chance an outdoor show for which I need to fly or do other excessive travel.

Men from VERMONT, especially, need to avoid KK's at all cost!!!!

And women from VT. My GF has her own KK story, completely independent of mine, and they both happened before we met. She was thinking of printing out a pic and bringing it; I told her there's going to be enough KK BS without her encouraging it. angry.gif

But seriously...I know it's funny to taunt me with KKs, but she seriously has an adverse physical reaction to them, so if it wouldn't be too much trouble to save that until after the show......unless you like vomit, that is. smile.gif

QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Jun 14 2010, 10:53 PM)
There are basically two ways to score last-minute tickets:
    1) Pay big bucks
    2) Win them from a radio station
    That's it.

    Scalper? confused13.gif

I think that would fall under category #1.

  8. QUOTE (kirkg @ Jun 23 2010, 11:17 AM)
right, i got that, but is there anything i need to bring? i just want to make sure i don't forget anything and end up missing the show

Your confirmation should tell you what you need. Typically, they request ID and the credit card with which you bought the ticket. Check your email to make sure they don't need anything else, though.

  9. QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 15 2010, 06:38 PM)
Why? I wasn't saying that directly to the person as an insult.
Sorry if I gave off that vibe somehow though confused13.gif

I doubt she thought you meant it as something directed at someone. It is, however, equating a group of people with a negative. It would be like saying "That's so Canadian" instead of "That's so lame." Whether you mean it towards a particular person or not, it's still connoting that a particular group is synonymous with some negative sentiment.

  10. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jun 9 2010, 02:55 PM)
I know many wait until a few hours (or minutes!) before a show to grab some great seats and have had great luck every time.

I am looking to do this not for Rush but another concert this weekend that I don't have tickets too.

My question is: What's a good time frame to buy these *good* last minute tickets right at the venue's box office? 1 hour? 3 hours? Does it vary matter?

Please share your experiences and tips!

    Thanks cool.gif

The only time I've ever done that was for the R30 tour. The box office opened about 2 hrs before the show, and they release seats sporadically. We passed on a few sets, but as the time grew closer, I started getting nervous and we took 200 level seats. We might have done better if we held out, but you take your chances. I figured better to see them in 200 level than miss out. Who knows? We might have scored front row if we'd waited....or missed out altogether.

Thanks for all your help in this matter. The delivery method he chose was Fedex Canada, but I don't know where the regional centre would be situated in my case. At either rate, I would like to make it very clear that I don't care how long I have to wait, as long as they DO come! (although, I also wish they would be here tomorrow tongue.gif )

No problem. I got a confirmation email when I bought the tix, and then one when they were shipped - got the email Sunday and the tix Monday, with USPS tracking. Again, I don't know if that would apply in Canada, though.

  12. For the benefit of those who did not get a copy of the confirmation email:

For shipped tickets: By choosing UPS or US Mail, it does NOT mean that your tickets will be shipped out immediately after you process your order. Tickets will be shipped 10 business days (approximately 2 weeks) before the event date. If you have not received your tickets one week prior to the event date, please email tix@musictoday.com immediately. Non-delivery claims must be made no later than 48 hours prior to a weekday event and no later than Thursday evening prior to a weekend event. Day of show and weekend requests for assistance cannot be honored and no refunds will be made. Note: UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.

    [sNIP unrelated will-call info]

    Delivery Notes:

    USPS 1st Class Mail w/Delivery Conf. - 3.50 (USD)

By choosing USPS 1st Class Mail w/Delivery Conf., it does NOT mean that your tickets will be shipped out immediately after you process your order. Tickets will be shipped no later than 10 business days (approximately 2 weeks) before the event date; however they might be shipped earlier. If you have not received your tickets within one week of the event date, please email tix@musictoday.com for further assistance. Please note: The tracking message on www.usps.com will only confirm that your tickets have been picked up at our facilities in Virginia. This means your tickets are "in transit." The next update made to www.usps.com will be to confirm delivery of your order.

I don't know if they have different regional shipping centers, but mine came from VA, as specified in this email. I imagine shipping to Canada might take a few additional days.

  13. Anyone? Last chance. I'd much prefer it to go to another fan at cost, but it's getting closer and I don't want to get stuck with an extra like last tour. If I don't hear back by the end of the day, I'll toss it up for sale. If anyone wants it, please let me know soon!
  14. It's been a really long time since I've seen the movie, but isn't the symbol at 9:00 the symbol for the angel Uziel (at least as put forth in the movie The Prophecy)? I thought I remember that - or something similar - being the tattoo on the dead angel's neck - and in that old Bible.

I guess it would fit in with the album title.
