  1. Voted for Earthshine but I love Ghost Rider, Peacable Kingdom and Ceiling Unlimited as well. I love the album as a whole actually!
  2. Which Manic did you meet Shirley? So, thoughts on Postcards From A Young Man. I absolutely love it. Has had mixed reactions from fans but that's how it goes. Well received in the press anyway!
  3. Manic Street Preachers supported by British Sea Power on the 14th of December for me. Had to wait longer after it was rescheduled!
  4. Yeah, it's thanks to this and the interview with the Manics that I discovered the mighty Rush!
  5. Aaaaw! Richard Hawley has been saying lovely things about JDB on his website.
  6. QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Oct 24 2009, 04:17 PM) Seeing as people are posting about Manic meets!; Guess who just met James Dean Bradfield? He was in my town in one of my locals, on holiday I presume. We had a 5 minute convo about Rush. Good f***ing times! My mates tried to get me out earlier because they were sitting on the table next to him and Nicky but they didn't tell me that bit for a suprise and I had a shower instead! JDB and Sean were in another pub in Tenby yesterday when we got told about it. I must say, my 30th Anniversary tour shirt did me proud biggrin.gif Cool! Was that in Wales that you met him? Enjoyed the performance last night. Steevo - Kylie did join MSP once on stage to perform Little Baby Nothing. Most fans seem to agree that her version isn't a patch on Traci's!
  7. BBC 2 tonight, James Dean Bradfield will be joining Dame Shirley Bassey on stage to perform the song that he and Nicky Wire wrote for her - The Girl From Tiger Bay. Looking forward to seeing this! Will have to sit through Goldfinger but hey! It'll be worth it!
  8. QUOTE (Ya_Big_Tree @ Oct 19 2009, 02:22 PM) I'm feeling like a gutless wonder these days. You feel like me? Oh dear. I wish I wasn't such a gutless wonder when it comes to trying to meet the band. I should've parked in the other car park. Aaaaarrrgghhh!!!
  9. Aaaaaaw! I missed him in Wolverhampton in June by half an hour! (And the rest of the band as well of course!)
  10. The Manics are now back in the UK once more! A poster on the Manics unofficial fan forum Forever Delayed says he spoke to James today in Cardiff as he works in one of the main music stores there. He says JDB was very cheery and happy to chat. Sounds like the cold that was plagueing him on the last few days of the tour has eased up as the poster on FD says he didn't hear him coughing or anything so all good! I hope I get to meet James one day, he is my absolute hero!
  11. It's Geddy'sMullet. There is a thread for the documentary in the videos section of the forum. Glad the people who went to see the Manics enjoyed the shows! Hope a member of Rush can make the gig in Toronto tonight! Fingers crossed!
  12. A Design For Life performed in Los Angeles the other day (Or last night, can't quite remember!) Anyway, sound qualities not great but this vid is good for seeing the crowd reaction. American fans pogoing and singing along, fantastic!
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vu7AyBmFXfE Motorcycle Emptiness performed at San Francisco yesterday!
  14. http://wwwthewesternfront.blogspot.com/200...ay-seattle.html Review of the Manics gig from Seattle and the authors chance meeting with a certain James Dean Bradfield!
  15. Great stuff Tarkus! Which albums are you interested in getting first?
  16. Oh and to any member of Rush who is free on the 4th of October, that is when MSP are playing Toronto so if you like wanna pop along that would be very cool indeed!
  17. Aaaaaaaw! That's very nice of you to say Earl! I think that the Manics have a sort of affinity with Rush in a roundabout way. They have this warmth about them that you can't help being drawn to I suppose. Sounds like the Vancouver gig went down a storm, just been looking at a vid of the performance of No Surface All Feeling from the Everything Must Go album and James just sounds amazing. Will put the link up actually cos it's that good!
  18. A Canadian MSP fan was saying Alex lives in Toronto so what about tonight instead Al? Waddaya mean you're going skiing with Neil in Whistler? This is an opportunity not to be missed man! It may never happen again!
  19. Alex you've gotta go! Want your opinion on album title track Journal For Plague Lovers and it's nod to Spirit Of Radio!
