QUOTE (PlaysLikeMyung @ Apr 18 2010, 07:16 PM) Since this is a time machine tour, I'm expecting Rush to play at least one song from every album, in chronological order. I'll try to get a setlist together for this theory I already did that (except for 2112 as opener and CTTH as encore).
In all honesty I don't think it will happen though. I think there will be little if any material from Roll the Bones to VT.
-
Aye. The model for this tour will probably be thus: Moving pictures (most likely played start to finish), a few new songs (possibly a bit different each night), a few 1st and 2nd tier standards (several of the 1st tier standards being on MP anyway), and a half dozen or so rares.
Given the title of the tour, I wouldent rule out some of those rares being from their old albums. I also wouldent rule out medleys, given that they would be loath to play them in full. Expect some R30 kind of stuff.

They tried AFTK in early rehearsals for the S&A tour. Apparently Geddy can't sing it anymore.

Ya, can't hurt to bring some with ya. Even if you don't use 'em much, never hurts to bring some protection along.
-
Thanks you Ghostworks.
And now we can deduce from this, that they will indoubtably be playing The Fountain of Lamneth in full.
-
It's an interesting possibility, and I've thought of it too, but...
How would Neil get a break afterwards? And unplugged version of LL following YYZ? How would he do one of those big band samples and then go back into YYZ?
-
One possibility would be having the intermission between LL and TCE.
-
Come on guys, thats just a rumor.
...
IIRC, S&A tour set was leaked shortly before opening night by some folks listening to the rehearsal. I think they were off by a song or two.
-
Really hope they film this tour. Hopefully they'll decide to do so at the outset and not wait 'till the end when they're worn out.
Even if they just record it...

QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Apr 8 2010, 03:57 PM) To the unhappy posters in this thread:
Okay guys, I know you're upset that they aren't coming around your area this tour - I'd probably be pretty pissed too - but remember, there will be another tour next year - a bigger tour with almost double the stops...But, will they be playing MP and other rares on the full tour?
-
Ya, thats likely.
Remember: MP is only 40 minutes long. At most, it'll run 50 minutes. Each half of the set runs 60-80 minutes.
If they open the second set with it, they'll still have plenty of time for the drum solo etc.
-
If I don't make it... let's hope they record this one...
-
Ah.
But ya, theres a near 2 week gap in there.
-
Actually ya, theres a few pretty big breaks...
I'm a bit new at this: do they tend to add any dates after the initial announcement?
-
QUOTE (krlowe @ Apr 8 2010, 06:43 AM) These aren't all the dates, but they are most of them. There are a few small gaps up front in between July 5, July 9, and July 13 which are Milwaukee, Sarnia, and Toronto so I am hoping Detroit is in there somewhere but not announced yet. Maybe the boys are taking it easy this tour and taking a few days off...

I have to find a way to sleep now. Busy day.
