QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Feb 5 2012, 04:56 AM) QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Jul 29 2011, 10:31 AM) Not going to guess the entire set list but I will pick their opener. It'll be something BIG from the past and something that hasn't been used before to kick off the gig. Lifeson's solo will be fast and fun. Free Will To add to my predictions...
Something older and something from the middle years that they haven't played in a while----> Jacob's Ladder and Prime Mover would fit into the probable overall theme of Clockwork Angels.
I could see them doing Jacobs Ladder, even half of it. But Neil said that they did attempt it in rehearsals for the last tour and they couldn't dig it.

Um, they haven't announced the contents of these yet. And now apparently they are CD/DVD sets.
This could very well be a re-release of the back catalogue. But it could be something else.

Did you use live versions (where possible), and if so, from which albums?
-
If 2007 was any indication, it'll be posted this evening
-
Not likely....
Except that Lerxst mentioned that it's one of his favourite solos.
-
Even if that isnt the real dialogue, or some test dialogue or whatever, what is known for sure is that they were filming Rush lookalikes for what is almost certainly a concert video. And given that they wanted young ones, it would probably be for an intro to an early song, probably pre-AFTK.
-
Probably not. I'm guessing it would be like the south park/tom sawyer intro.

I know most people don't have the highest opinion of RIAB, but this is nonetheless interesting.
Spoilerific for good reason.
-
One coud argue they had never "burned in" RTB...
-
Whats your source for "Making Memories"?
-
Ya, not gonna happen but not a bad guess.

QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 6 2010, 02:04 AM) QUOTE (Tarkus407 @ Jun 5 2010, 09:00 PM) The Camera Eye 11? I was timing it out and I must have forgot to take the 11 minutes off there...
I kept the whole tihng around 3 hours, hey they can do 3 hours easy...
Ya thats what I figured.
-
Ya. Geddy is about as good at keys as Tony was at the time.
I don't think he would be able to do Wakeman or Moraz stuff. Except maybe LDR.
-
11 minutes?

Perfection.agreed,pearts best solo right here.
Agreed too, but there are pieces of it in DT.
DT?

Earthshine.
Only Earthshine.
-
He should replace the big band ending with the hockey theme.

QUOTE (apetersvt @ Jun 2 2010, 07:02 PM) To me, this album is the closest to perfection so of course I wanna hear the whole thing.
Hemispheres is a no-brainer. First, its 17-18 (can't recall) minutes of what music is all about. Better than anything else they would be playing (cause they're not playing Necromancer or Lamneth). Plus, I've already heard the other 3 songs live.I agree.
I think we can at least get part of it.

QUOTE (LERXST69 @ Jun 2 2010, 03:52 PM) La Villa, and Alex, shut up and play your guitar Hearing "Shut up and play your guitar" live, if such a thing could be done (would he have to bring his wife and friend up on stage?), would be the most hilarious thing to occur in the history of rock concerts.
-
If there were no more polls, then the boys would surely play Lamneth in it's entierty, with Tai Shan in the encore.
-
Not going to happen, but the complete Hemispheres.
Otherwise, I'd go with LVS.
But most likely it will be the Trees.
-
Alex said it was one of his favourite solos.
Opening song ideas!
