  2. All I have to say is teams better keep their eye on the Steelers. I just like how everything is going for us. Willie Parker is getting the torch passed to him from the Bus( what a great mentor for Willie) Hines is showing Cedric Wilson that it isnt the amount of passes thrown to you, its being cluth, and catching EVERY ONE that is thrown your way...at that, Hines is THEE best. I f*ckin love Hines. We have a tight end now that is a rookie, and making an impact (6 tds and blocks awesome) Our defense is swarming, like they usually do, causing turnovers and chaos. The secondary now has the flyin hawaiin, who appears as if hes ronnie lott in his prime, if not better. Casey Hampton at nose tackle is just smearing centers, and driving them into the qb. And the main reason we are gonna rule in the nfl for years to come..... BIG f***ing BEN ROETHLISBERGER. Everything happens for a reason, and him gettin his surgery in the middle of the yr may have been a great thing after all. He doesnt have a nagging knee injury as a result, plus the fact he had a month off in the midlle of the yr....last yr, playoff time, Ben was wore out from the nfls lengthy schedule( nearly 2 full college seasons) Bring on them f*ckin pussy Ben-gals, I think we can beat anyone in the playoffs, especially believing they can, like they do now. I wouldnt want to play the Steelers when theyre on a roll....just ask Cleveland, Chicago, Minn.....WOOOO It aint over yet baby!!!!

And now with San Diego out of the picture, all the Steelers need to do is beat Detroit and they're in.

Well, here's some demos that I haven't really decided what I'm going to do with. They're from the tail end of my harder metal phase, and when I was more a lead guitarist that can play bass. Now, I am pretty good at both. Anyway, here's a few selections, but feel free to click on the main artist page to see the rest of what I have.

    Black Rain

The Power to End it All

    Pariah

Sounds nice and thrashy!! Has a Megadeath type feel to it and a dash of early Metallica. Nice work m8.

I was doing some catfishing at this pay lake I used to go to when I was around 15 and I would have my parents drop me and my friend off and we would fish from like 9 pm to 9 am in the morning. We had a lantern and we always built a nice fire, brought food, sleeping bag and we would sit around listening to Rush waiting on the fish to bite.

I always had pretty nice fishing poles to use but my dad just bought a really expensive rod and reel combo and I wanted to use his new one so he let me use it and he told me to leave the bail open if I think I am going to go to sleep because the catfish will drag the rod into the lake. I have seen other people lose their rods by walking away to take a piss and they leave the bail open. I usually always left the bail open anyway, I just put a rock on the line right by the reel, i did this to keep the line nice and tight but if the fish took off with my bait then it just pulled the line out from under the rock. Or another trick I always opened the bail, put a rock on the line by the reel, then lifted the tab of a soda can and put the fishing line around the tab, then set the can by some rocks so if the fish took off with my bait then it would knock the can over and you could hear this from like 50 feet. So I would cast out 2-3 fishing poles and you wouldnt even have to pay attention to the poles until you hear the can fall.

Anyway, I didn't open the bail because I had the poles sitting real close and I was laying on my sleeping bag. I fell alseep, and forgot about it.......My dad came to pick us up about 7am and we were both sleeping. He woke us up and we started getting our gear together. He asked me "Wheres my new pole"???  I thought he was tricking me, and he hid the pole to teach me a lesson for falling asleep. When he started acting mad then I figured he wasn't joking around.

My dad asked me which direction I casted on his pole and I pointed a directed, "that way"........ I thought we would never see the pole again........He added some more sinkers and a couple of hooks so it would stay on the bottom and snag anything in its path. He cast in the direction and on the first cast it appeared he snaged a HUGE fish!!!!  I didn't catch any all night and he cast one time and has a fish...... Well, he fought this fish for a good 10 minutes because he didn't want to lose it because he insisted it was a fish which was dragging his pole around the lake..... HE WAS RIGHT!!!  He snagged the tip of his new rod, I grabbed the rod and fought for a good 20 more minutes and reeled in a 20 lb shovelhead catfish.

I always opened my bail after that, no matter if I was close or not.  yes.gif

    That's a great story Indy new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Do you have bite alarms or baitrunner reels over there?

Occasionally I do night time Carp fishing and they are essential yes.gif

Yes, I saw them before but I don't even use them. I mostly fish for Bass anymore and only go catfishing once every couple years.

We will talk on Saturday pal. icon_really_happy_guy.gif

Are you going to be at the game? Because that's where I will be. I want to bear personal witness to the spectacle of the end of the Steelers run at the playoffs.

Nope I won't be there. I'd like to visit the browns stadium sometimes though. Good luck this week. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I just recently joined a tribute band. Counterparts from Nashville, Tenn. The hard part is that I'm in Dayton, Ohio which is a five hour drive.
It's worth it to me though because these guys are very good and I think we will be able to put on one of the best Rush shows possible.
We have lasers, a dryer, rear screen, and all the technology and talent to do the music.
Here's the band website. The live pics are with their previous guitarist.

    http://www.counterparts.us/

Pete I lived in the Dayton Area for 25 years of my life. I know TONS of musicians in that area. I am planning on going to Dayton this winter and laying down some tracks with some a couple of my friends there. They both have recording equipment in their homes. How long have you lived there? Have you ever heard of Tongue-n-Groove? We played in Dayton quite a bit a few years back. That's who I played with for a while.

Let me know if you want to jam sometimes when I am in the area. I know a bass player there that is a Rush freak also, I haven't talked to him for a few years though but I can try to get a hold of him. Maybe if things don't work out with the guys you are with now then you guys can hook up. Lots of musicians in that area.

EDIT: I just checked out the website for your new band, you are on the website!!! You don't need any help. trink39.gif

  14. Steeler fans, football fans, when you are watching the Steelers these last 2 games of the season keep in mind that this is Bettis's last 2 games.

Here's a couple stats that some may not be aware of:

Only EMMITT SMITH (78) and Pro Football Hall of Famers WALTER PAYTON (77), BARRY SANDERS (76), and ERIC DICKERSON (64) have posted more career 100-yard rushing performances.

5th all time Rusher with 13,588 yards. http://img309.imageshack.us/img309/2315/howtobettiscelebrates6vn.jpg

  16. Same here!!

I am far from a teenager (although you can't tell by the way I act) but it may comfort you to know I listened to Rush and LOVED them in my pre teen years. yes.gif

When ATWS came out I would put the album on and play air guitar in the mirror through the WHOLE album. Then in somewhere around 1980 when I saw Randy Rhoads in concert I then thought "I have to learn guitar now"

It is nice to see that young fans enjoy rush music still. trink39.gif

  17. I always just play the chords from the guitar parts on the piano and it sounds pretty cool. I am not sure exactly what you are looking for but I had a Rush complete book that had all the sheet music on it but it wasn't in tablature. I am sure theres some on the internet somewhere. If you just want the melodies then it seems you can use any sheet music for that and it will give you the melodies. Good luck.

I will take a look for you on the net and see if I have any luck.
