  1. NAMES AND FACES: Simpson sets sights on Hazzard County

    September 15, 2004

Perfect casting! Jessica Simpson will make her big-screen debut as Daisy Duke in the movie remake of the 1979-85 TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard," People.com reports.

Warner Bros. previously announced that Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott would play those fast-drivin' good ol' boys, Bo and Luke Duke.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jay Chandrasekhar ("Super Troopers," Fox's "Arrested Development") will direct, though a start date has yet to be announced. As for Boss Hogg, Burt Reynolds is said to be emerging as the top choice. (In case you forgot, John Schneider and Tom Wopat played Bo and Luke Duke, Catherine Bach played Daisy, and Sorrell Booke, who died in 1994, was Boss.)

    Thank you, GG!

    OK, next quote:

'Bufotenine. Hell of an hallucinogen. He's gone. He won't be coming back anytime soon.' (Pause). 'Discovery Channel.'

Thought about posting this in one of the hurricane threads, but we have so MANY of them, I just put it here.

Ten Reasons Why Hurricanes Are Like Christmas

    10. Decorating the house (boarding up windows)
    9. Dragging out boxes that haven't been used since last season (camping gear, flashlights)
    8. Last minute shopping in crowded stores
    7. Regular TV shows pre-empted for "specials"
    6. Family coming to stay with you
    5. Family and friends from out-of-state calling
    4. Buying food you don't normally buy ... and in large quantities
    3. Days off from work
    2. Candles
And the number one reason Hurricane Season is like Christmas .. At some
point you know you're going to have a tree in your house!

I think we would need somebody neutral, neither right or left. That might just be me...

I have modding experience, and I'm completely unbiased politically, so for now, and if RR and GG agree, I'll have my finger on the BAN button! tongue.gif

(Nobody will get banned unless they turn into a complete troll. But I will delete posts if they get out of hand, so behave yourselves! biggrin.gif )

The Politics forum should be moderated. Too many threads where all the posters do is tell each other to fu ck off  without any substantive argument at all. It is getting annoying.

I tend to agree. Any suggestions as to who should mod it though - that is the question...

I'll do it, I'll put a stop to all the name calling too. It's getting rediculous.

I just saw that in the Politics forum. That's why I edited my post above. Sorry about the assumption.

It's OK, this has been going on for a while now. I should just ignore him but it pisses me off when people try to belittle me and try to make me feel stupid. It's about to get out of hand here. It's very unecessary, I need to be the bigger person and ignore him but I can't help to get pissed. It's hard to believe this guy is 40 years old.

So you show that you are the bigger person by spamming the board?!

It's a wonder you can walk, your testicles must be the size of watermelons!

show me some tears. Keep the BS in the politican forum, people don't want to read this BS. Can you at least respect everyone else?

  7. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Sep 6 2004, 06:55 PM)
This is what happens when overheated political discussions spill out onto the rest of the board. I hate politics. Shall we get back on topic?

"Goodfellas" isn't a music-based film per se, but the way Scorcese used songs from the '70s and '80s to underscore the action in this film was genius. Especially the slide guitar and piano ending of "Layla" and Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love."

Yes but one more thing, this has nothing to do with politics. I has to do with respect.

That movie sounds cool, I liked Sargent Peppers even though the BEE Gees played as the beatles.

'That Thing You Do'. Terrific movie.

Did you come up with that on your own, or did a grown-up help you?

    Was that necessary?

Yes it was, He said that to me in a post earlier so I did it to about 10 of his. You need to ask him if the things he says are necessary. Go to his profile and click on, "READ ALL POSTS BY THIS MEMBER" and you will see a large number of his last 30 posts are him saying smart ass shit to something I said. He's trying to piss me off so I will go off and get banned. Please check out his last few posts. You will see what I'm talking about.

Just finished reading it (took my time)

It certainly is a very good article encompassing many aspects of Rush at its current stage. There is even comment by Alex regarding the New Years incident. Very nice find Indica biggrin.gif

No problem, I found it on another Rush forum. I figured I would post it on here since it's so recent. I figured any of you would do the same thing. That's why I love these forums, when I first joined I was overwhelmed with Rush info. I've been a rush fan for over 25 years and joined a rush forum and learned so much stuff that I never knew, it was so overwhelming.

    I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2.gif 2.gif 2.gif 2.gif
