  1. It's already been said, but I too am glad there were no leaks about his situation. As shocking as it was to get this news on Friday, it's absolutely Neil's right to want privacy for him and his family while fighting such an awful disease.

We all should have that choice, famous or not.

  2. Hey guys.

Seeing FB covered with tributes to NP has been simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming.

I'm still in shock.... very sad.... but what's bigger than that sadness is the GRATITUDE for who he is as a person and all he (and the other guys) accomplished.

I'd actually been on a bit of a Rush sabbatical... now it all sounds fresh again, although bittersweet.

As a fan, I haven't even begun to grieve yet. Don't know when it's gonna hit me.

    Peace to you all.

  3. Musicians: Geddy and John Petrucci.

Non-musicians: Howard Stern and Bill Shatner.

John, Geddy and Mike should make a record.

Please no. Anyone but Mike. I know he's a huge fan, but.... YEAH LET'S OVERPLAY ON EVERYTHING (I know Mike doesn't do this on every song but he's done it enough for my tastes.)

  4. My own Top 10...

    1) Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener

    2) A Hard Road

    3) Fairies Wear Boots

    4) Spiral Architect

    5) Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

    6) Never Say Die

    7) Supernaut

    8) Tomorrow's Dream

    9) Over To You

    10) War Pigs

(Never Say Die is waaaaay underrated, afaic).

  5. I'm seeing them on Sunday at the Hollywood Bowl. Can't wait!!!!

Oh shoot! Sorry for the spoilers!!! Don't read my posts!!! HAVE FUN!! THEY RULE!!!!

haha! I was very careful to avoid reading spoilers!

I absolutely loved the show last night. I didn't actually realize that Zak was playing an electric kit until about 2/3

through the show. Usually I'm not big on that kind of thing being used so extensively at a gig, but he made them sound

    great!!

So many highlights... f**k I was in tears for most of the show. Orch was POWERFUL and rich.

  6. It's the debut for me, it gripped me from the start, whereas VHII took some time for me to love.

Just like finding good "Women In Love."

They are out there man. Hope I can find one more in my life. It's tough. You are young.................

    ROCK ON!

I hope I can too. But I'm not currently looking.

I'm loving my freedom and what I'm learning about life, finally on my own again after 25 years.

If something great comes along, fantastic. If not, I'm content to just be me.

You have always been another awesome forum member on here!

I love and respect your openness on this thread. I encourage hijacking on threads. LOL

You get to learn more about a person even if it is on a public one dimensional forum.

I am soooooo happy that you are happy and free. "Anthem" really says it all!!

I really don't mean to sound like some guy out on the prowl al the time.

It's really odd for me. After being with one woman for 21 years faithfully and then having it end became we grew apart really threw me a curveball.

I went to a dark place for a few years. 2014 2015. But I rebounded in a very strong and powerful manner.

I have my girls and I pay my dues financially so I am in clear karma and clean and clear consciousness.

Take your time and live for you.

I have found myself again and I love me, but not in a narcissistic way. I know some on here over the years think I'm a cocky and arrogant prick.

    Nope.

I just speak my mind and have no filter.

    Anyway, it's not about me.

I hope one day we will find the "One" again. Hell until then "I'm The One!" Hahaha!! Keeping on topic!!

I will listen to real Van Halen until I die.

I love TNT and I am listening to White Lion's "Mane Attraction" right now. I love White Lion!

    I can't help it.

I know many Rush Fans can't stand my passion for Hair Metal or Hard Rock or Sleaze Rock.

    It's ok! I'm a WHORE!

I just found out that ROSE TATTOO is playing three nights in Hollywood! Holy Shit!! I'm GOING!!!!!

    LIFE IS SHORT!

    LIVE FOR YOU!!!

I will live for me and I will always take care of my parents, daughters and friends!!!

    RUSH ON!

    RUSH ON brother..

Live for the Tangents. Give 'em everything you got :)

  10. Drivin' Down to Georgia (I think this was only ever a live song, but it's a barn burner)

    Something Big

    Refugee

    Runnin' Down a Dream

A Woman In Love (It's Not Me)

    Swingin'

    Crawling Back To You

    Breakdown

    Mary Jane's Last Dance

    Into the Great Wide Open

    And if Mudcrutch counts,

    Hungry No More

Excellent list... Swingin'.. Something Big ...Crawling Back to You...

Ha.. I nearly added Hungry No More and Dreams of Flying. Great stuff!

  11. Live version of this on Rio is wonderful. And I like the VT remix of this track.

Great song... is it my favorite from that period? One of them....
