  1. Well, more to the point, at this juncture, saying. Everything is happening for a reason, is lame and too abstract. Now I say what it really is - Everything is the Alpha and Omega - this is not "Eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil" (Genesis 2;17). This is where the Beginning of of the New Reality (new to this endarkened generation anyway), begins. It magnifies the majesty of the Infinite, that from Eternity Past, the Infinite Now, and throughtout the endless horizons of eternity, the Infinite is in absolute control.

Isaiah 45:7 I the Lord create light and darkness, good and evil.

    f**k off and die!

Oh my, another emphatic modifier.

See, you're 'Eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil' rather than the Tree of Life. No worries, you're not alone, virtually 100% of the homo-sapiens on planet Earth are Eating from the Tree of Death, which is why they die...one of those No-Brainers.

The Beginning is Here...and many will not like it.

    :LMAO:

  2. Most schools in Newtown have reopened, but the Sandy Hook students won't be in class until January, after winter break.

Just read that my home town of Monroe is helping out and re-opening my old middle school to them, which has been shut down for over a year now. I miss that school but it sucks that it's opening back up under these gruesome circumstances. :(

My wife and I will be in CT next week and I'm considering volunteering to help set up the elementary students' temporary "new" school.

  3. I have an indescribable pain......as a parent....as a human.

    Hug your kids.

    Pray for the victim's families.

This is the worst elementary school massacres in U.S. History. It completely disgusts me.

I am not an Obama fan at all but even he made me tear up while he teared up at his press conference.

My 12 year old just came into the room crying over the deaths of the 20 children.

I gave her a huge hug and told her that I loved her. She made me cry again.

This world is getting worse and it will keep getting worse. "It is what it is whatever?"

There is no God that's for sure.

Through all the madness humans should still have the right to bare arms.

47% of Americans own a gun.

    Right before Christmas really?

The insane are taking over the planet.

Love your children and hold them tight.

If you are too young and don't have children then hug your parents and tell them how thankful you are that you have them in your life.

Guns are just the tool in this terrible incident. In China the same thing happened yesterday, except the guy used a KNIFE. I'm horrified that people would do this.

You know what makes it worse? The news outlets went in and despite the administrators of the school forbidding it, they interviewed the children during school hours. Those kids can barely comprehend the horror of what they just experienced and grown adults barged in to make them relive those memories that they can barely process just so they can get tears on camera to boost ratings.

My heart goes out to everyone affected. I really hope the media stays away from the families so they grieve in their own way.

I, too, hope the media will keep their distance from these families. Those vultures need to realize that none of these people give a shit about the news, interviews, or ratings; they just lost family and that's all that's important, and it sickens me to see people badgered with cameras and mics after incidents like this. Especially young children who just experienced the most traumatic event of their lives.

It's embarassing as a human being, for another to take the lives of innocent children and adults. How f*cked up does a man have to be to kill his own mother? How sick and twisted does a man have to be to kill children who had their entire lives ahead of them!

I feel terrible for all the families in Fairfield County who lost sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers yesterday.

I'm still in shock over this. It feels awfully strange. I know Newtown well. I grew up in the neighboring town of Monroe. I know many people who live in Newtown. I've seen that school and have even been there before. And now to see a familiar place on the national news after a horrific massacre occurs, really hits close to home. It's reminded me that not all terrible things happen in the faraway lands of Colorado. When things happen in a place you've never known, it is still horrible, but the feeling is different. It can happen right in your own back yard. It can happen anywhere, and no one is ever fully prepared for it.

I don't want to place any blame on the up-coming end to the Mayan calendar, because I'm sure it had nothing to do with this tragedy. However, I fear things like this might happen more throughout the next week. There are a lot of nutjobs out there. A lot of insane people who really do believe the world will end on Friday, and want to go out with a bang and take as many people with them as they can. I hope my fear is never justified.

My heart goes out to all affected by yesterday's horror.

  4. Says I ought to live to 83 years old (dead in 2072)

Longer than I expect, what with all the food chemicals and cancer rates

    Edited to add:

WTF are we all talking about? We're dead in 9 days anyway! :P

  5. I'm a long time pc guy, and wasn't sure about 8 at first, but have since warmed up to it as well. It's very customizable, I love that things can be dynamic like on a android phone or tablet, instead of static icons, you get live up to date weather, email tiles, etc.. plus you have the classic desktop as well the "metro" ui is just a big start button that you can add your favorite programs to....

The part about Windows 8 that scared me at first was the thought that the Metro interface was the ONLY interface and that it was too much of a change and there would be horrifying compatibility issues. Totally not the case. I was able to install all of my regular software. One program did come up and say "hey dude the might be some compatibility issues here, wanna try running it with these settings we recommend?" So I say "sure, go for it". Works flawlessly, then even asks "so did it work out?" To which I responded "Why yes! Yes it did!"

I'm very happy with the new Windows.

  6. Guess this means there's zero chance of Manhattan Project making it to DVD :(

I know it was on A Show of Hands but it just sounded so powerful with the "modern" sound, and epic with the strings....besides, Dreamline was on Different Stages, Rush in Rio, R30, and Snakes and Arrows Live....

Well, they played it in Phoenix which was also filmed for the DVD. From what I remember, it sounded great. :) So hopefully they'll combine the best of the two shows for the DVD.

:o YES! I didn't know they switched Dreamline for Manhattan Project on that night! Faith is RESTORED! And that is one epic setlist and I hope that one is the main DVD feature. (or if they combine both sets and stitch them together as one show that'd be even better! ;) )

  7. They added an adventure mode to minesweeper now. I must admit it looks pretty neat.

Yeah I looked at the Minesweeper they had in the Windows store. Can't say I'm too thrilled with the X-Box'd up version of it. I may be pulling the game .exe's from Windows 7 and installing them on my 8 machine

  8. Believe it or not. I'm making this post with Windows 8 and Google Chrome.

Saw that Staples was selling the full Windows 8 Professional for like $60 so I decided to take the plunge and really try it out. At first I regretted it. After a while of toying around with the new features and apps, I've actually warmed up to it a bit. I'm definitely considering getting a Surface tablet with Windows 8 Pro in the future, as I think it would work VERY well on it. It doesn't live up to Windows 7 for a PC, but it's not terribly hard to get used to. I'm not even concerned with trying to get the Start Menu back (the Start Screen is the same thing, but with bigger buttons)... It's responding fairly well so far and running very fast. I'm sure after the first service pack it will have the initial bugginess worked out.

So yeah...gave it a shot, and I'm not disappointed. I certainly wasn't getting the full experience by toying with a display model laptop at Staples. And at that price, it was hard to say "FU MIRCOSOFT"
