  1. QUOTE (RushNut @ Apr 29 2010, 02:36 PM) QUOTE (mandydog @ Apr 29 2010, 02:24 PM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Apr 29 2010, 02:14 PM) Pre-Sales = Suck While I agree with that, this would have happened even if I had bought my tickets on public sale day. They had the stage set in one place then decided to push it back to sell more tickets. So if you have tickets off the floor you have just joined me in the further away club! Do you have a picture of the new layout? I don't think they are going to push back people with front row seats back to the 2nd section. No they added a row z to the first section and rows e-p to the second section. So if you already had seats on the floor, your seat just moves with the new stage placement. You are the same distance away. This just sucks for the rest of the 60% of lower and upper bowl ticket holders!

  3. Well I was very happy to get tickets in Section 104 when the presale started. At that time the "Rush seat map configuration" showed this section to be the first section away from the stage on Geddy's side. I guess sales were brisk enough that they now have the stage set back one whole section further adding more floor seats. If this keeps up I guess they could still push the stage back even further! So without doing anything my seat just got 50 feet further away. Nice trick!
  4. QUOTE (Padfoot @ Apr 23 2010, 02:13 PM) However it does change some of the songs in a way I was less of a fan. Oh please don't misunderstand. I in NO WAY am less of a fan because of this. I have followed this band since 1976 and have seen them live close to 40 times. I guess I'm just feeling the melancholy. Kind of like watching your parents age and not be quite so sharp. You never lose the love, but the reality starts to sink in that the best years are probably in the past. I will still be in the crowd giving my part to the "Show of Hands". (That is as long as my arthritic shoulders hang in there!)
  5. I agree that the key changes aren't unlistenable. But when coupled with the slower tempo it makes a sound reminiscent of my old turntable when the belt was wearing out.
  6. I am really excited about this tour and the possibilities with this whole "Time Machine" approach. But thinking about some of these older "vault" songs being played slower and in the wrong key kind of bums me out. I was listening to the song "AFTK" earlier and thinking that there is no way Geddy could sing this in the original key. Maybe if it was the last song of the night, because he would wreck his vocal chords trying it earlier. I don't know if I want to see these songs "reworked" or key changed and slowed down. 2112 was great to hear finally played live but I rarely listen to the live cd version because it sounds like "a tortoise from Galapagos or a span of geological time" (Steps down from pedestal) Any way, what do you guys think of the old stuff played in lower keys and slowed down?
  7. The Live Nation site states that "Fanclub presale" starts tomorrow at 10. However the official Rush page says tickets go on sale Saturday the 24th when the public onsale starts. Is there no "presale" for Columbus?
