    Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight

    It has a rockin' chorus ruined by that really creepy female voice singing "be my little baby." Who's dumb idea was that?

    Anyway, post songs that you feel could have been great but were ruined by one little thing.

    I personally think it makes the song way better. Even better would be king diamond screeching it .

    Wolf are great fun - kind of cheesey, but fun! They're really good live too, if you get the chance to check them out.
    Unfortunately their long term guitarist, who was behind a lot of their stage presence, left the band - but I saw them with his replacement a few months ago and they were still well worth seeing - their songs are made for a live environment.

    Indeed I would see them live if they came to canada. But I don't believe they have.

  3. I enjoy some bands that are terrible musicians. I really do... However not these guys. Awful from tax to tariff.

    The old school punk like black flag, s.n.f.u, d.r.i., the nunfuckers etc were great.

    The offspring are fake - or faux punk at best, along with greenday, afi, or whatever people are listening to these days....

    100% the most boring " unorganic " live act one can witness.....I can't believe people are so obsessed over these guys.

    I did like images and words. But I cannot stand the lack of guts live.

    When unorganic becomes a word, come back and see us. atickhum.gif

    Good day, I'm not about to google search that word to justify my post. I know what It means and If I made it up, thank me - new word discovered = I am awesome.

    You are. As is Dream Theater! trink39.gif

    trink36.gif - images and words - no doubt is awesome.

    And Awake!

    I would love to see DT win this award, regardless if I am not a fan of Grammies. The Prog World needs a winner.

    It all depends on who they are up against .

    Right, if they are up against nitro - it's obviously game over for dream theater.

    What about Sepultura? And I'm talking about the days when Max and Igor Cavalera were still in the band. Aren't Arise, Chaos A.D., and Roots considered to be extreme metal masterpieces by fanatics? confused13.gif

    excellent - obviously amazing.... seen these guys many times with this line up. But I think were trying to expose extreme metal off the popular path.

    Lack of guts in what sense?

    Over 3 hours of concert - CHECK;

    Setlist changes EVERY NIGHT - CHECK;

    Massive shredding - CHECK;

    Throw in a bit of a prog jam every now and then - CHECK;

    Stomacks and intestines intact - CHECK.

    Now could you ellaborate on your "lack of guts"claim?

    Guten tag.

    I have only seen them open for other bands, so the three hour setlist was out for me. But this was ok, I didn't care for a lengthy show. And duration live doesn't necessarily make it better. I have seen the same bands play live on different occasions - longer shows weren't always the more memorable.

    setlist change is cool, zappa always did it and I admire that..... But if its a stale performance it really doesn't matter what song was played - its how it was.

    massive shredding is a relative term, It apeals to certain people that like that style of playing. As a guitar player myself, I don't really enjoy

    John Petrucci's note for note playing. For me it just lacks a bit of feel and vibe.For sure he is amazing it what he does, I just dont like it. I like a solo that can fall off the rails, his are too much in line for my particular taste.

    The way they play live is a little stale is all im saying, for me. Some may find it mindblowing.

    You just totally backtracked there. You already said you don't see how anyone could be obsessed over DT live, and then say that they're stale FOR YOU, but could be overwhelming for someone else.

    You basically answered yourself. It's an opinion.

    Right, which is what forums are - opinions. This one happens to be about dream theater... Is this an only repy if you love dream theater thread ? No. If it was - I would have visited and not posted. My opinion is valid.

    - thanks

    I am sick Of D.G and his onstage Muppet act . He bangs his head so much you would swear he was in Slayer

    Yeah - I mean whats he banging his head to? unless he has reign in blood playing in an ear piece....You sure as shit can't bang your head to the foo fighters.....

    I know he is a Huge Metal fan but jesus , it looks lame

    I like dave grohl because he likes voivod and king diamond. Those are his saving graces.... Did you see him in that movie about lemmy ? He loves to hear himself talk.
