  1. OK, I'm going to stipulate that I may be wrong about the native resolution on the RIR but for some reason its the worst looking 480p I've ever seen.

And just to reiterate, the audio is effing horrible. WHy in the hell would anyone want 5.1 96/24 of that dreck? If they can work magic and fix it, fine. But I would have thought it would have been done on the original.

  2. I was watching the final round of the Masters and when she told me to take out the garbage I told my wife to take out the f***ing garbage your own bitchy self.

I cant really say what happened next but I woke up in the street with the lawn mower on my head and she was trying to crank it up.

    Not really.. laugh.gif

  3. RIR was not shot in HD, which sucks beyond anything remotely imaginable in my mind. Not to mention the audio is just horrible.

I honestly can't beleive the released it.

The whole thing is sad because quite frankly, its one of RUSH's greatest performances aver caught on film...

Until the Time Machine disk comes out...

It's not a chick flick. Much funnier than The Hangover to me, to which it's compared. It's nothing brilliant, but it was very fresh and spry....and funnier than most films today, whatever that's worth. biggrin.gif

As a complete sidebar, I love how guys want to revoke man cards wink.gif for seeing movies with mostly women in them...as opposed to mostly guys. Or seeing a film with a shirtless "The Rock" slapping around other muscular guys or some such thing -- versus spend two hours a bevy of beautiful ladies. Talk about irony!! biggrin.gif

    I agree 100%

I thought 300 was about as gay as movies get. I couldn't watch it.

My wife who hates nloody movies liked watching for all the male posing that was going on. Me? I'd rather the watch a movie like The Ugly Trurh (ha! same lead actor rofl3.gif ), or anything with Jennifer Anniston in it.

I'll admit I was not amped about seeing Bridesmaids, but it does look funny and would have given it a shot.

    Now, I;m going.

I haven't watched anything on the networks since Seinfeld left the air (other than sports).

I watched five minutes of one of the Real Housewives with my wife. It made me reconsider my opposition to the death penalty.

Cheap Trick and 38 Special at Memorial Park, Omaha, NE. July 1.
Information on the concert here. (:
This'll be my.. sixth, maybe, time going to the "Bank of the West Celebrates America" concert. Can't say I'm a huge fan of either band playing this year (not as great as the year Three Dog Night and REO Speedwagon came!) but it's always a great time and tens of thousands of people come. Not to mention they have stellar fireworks at the end!

If anyone's up for a road trip the concert is free. They just ask that you either donate $5 or some canned goods for the Food Bank, since it's kind of a charity project, too. Parking's a complete pain, but thankfully I only live a few blocks from the park. laugh.gif Walking distance! Bring your own chair!

38 Special puts on amazing show! This guys are pros!

I'm going to see Rick Springfield in July. Whatever makes the girl happy..

The absolute worst dreck ever aired. And God help me why my dear wife loves those shows. A bunch of self centered idiots showing their asses to the world. Atlanta and NJ tops the list.

No reflection on you of course wink.gif

  8. CHUCK didn't get cancelled? My whole family watches that show together but its gotten tiresome. I heard it was getting axed but it sounds like 'no'.

The Event could have survived if they'd rid of that HORRIBLE actress that played the queen alien. Ack! Awful! What casting agent picked that dreafully dry, wooden, troll with a voice like nails on a chalkboard.

V was a decent show but that stupid team of resistance resistance fighters was ridiculous. I mean how many dead aliens did they get. They couldnt just get a TV film crew in there to expose the plot to the world?

This is why except for a few shows we watch Discovery channel more than anything.

By the way, if anyone wants to see all the full stories, here's a link..

Out of left field a bit here, but Im going to say the ending guitar solo on Boston's "Hitch a Ride."  Beautiful, tasteful, tuneful playing with amazing tone by the great Tom Scholz.

    This <3

    Hell yeah!

  10. This is an album that's meant to be listened from beginning to end. Its a concept album (of sorts) but it flows so incredibly well. STarts out ripping hard and gradually transitions. By the time you get to the end you're in heaven.

Very introspective. Brilliant. And Nuno Bettencourt is amazing.

  11. Cupid's Dead just positively rips and yes, there is so much musical diversity in there I can't help but love it.

I can't see how anyone would dislike the album. Really well produced sonically, incredible musiciaship, great arrangements. superior vocals from Cherone.

    Awesome
