Thanks for the welcome,RUSHHEAD666. Though I'm a rocker, I think The Blow Monkeys are one of the best groups I've ever heard. Love that sax. Caught Digging Your Scene on MTV back in 86. My first thought was "interesting song, cool video", then when I saw the name of the band, I thought "The Blow Monkeys, damned if I'll ever listen to a band with that name!". But 2 years later, I heard West End Girls on the radio, and it made me think of Digging Your Scene, so I went out and bought Animal Magic, and have been a huge fan since. 27 years later, I'm awaiting their latest release out next month.

RUSHHEAD666, What do you think of The Blow Monkeys?

Robin Trower, UFO, Television, The Blow Monkeys, Mastadon, Riverside, Volbeat, Blue October, Michael Schenker, Jeff Kollman. All currently still playing and releasing new material every few years.

I think that they are more than ready to go back into the studio and record another album, but I think they want to go and get in playing shape before they tackle something new. Plus I think they enjoyed the return to their roots that flowed throughout Clockwork Angels. So, not only are they getting warmed up before their next offering, but they get to revisit their earlier compositions that the majority of their fans love and use that to spark something new but possibly with that seventy's mindset and blow our, and their minds. They still got it, and with all their experience from the past forty years, they'll deliver something unique: fresh as always, but with a classic feel. This short tour, then into the studio to record, then back out to support/play the new material, then possibly call it a day as far as touring goes. Don't you think that at this point in their career, they would just love to compose music without having to worry about playing it live.

I believe that they can play any song they want vocally, it just might not sound the way it was recorded, or the way some fans want to hear it.

Sorry not early 1977, maybe late 1977, or early 1978

Well done, though I've always felt that The Fountain of Lamneth was about the cycle of life from birth to death(beginning to end), with each song about life's experience and journeys;infancy, drinking, falling in love, traveling, getting older and ending with a Garden like realization and discovery.

I agree, Union 5-3992

2112 was based on the short novel Anthem by Ayn Rand, not The Fountainhead.
