QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jan 6 2007, 05:56 PM) I sold my first good electric -- an Ibanez Artist -- and I'd buy it back in a heartbeat.

That's it on the left. On the right is an old Fender Mustang, which I still have...but it's disassembled at the moment.oh man. I feel your pain!
Nice guitars!

I sold my guitar this morning. It's the Ibanez GSA 20. It was my first guitar. This may sound dumb but the smell from the guitar case (I think it was the guitar polish I used) brings back memories! I hate this! . She's gonna come and pick it up in about 20 mins. I don't think I can even let it go! But it just sits in the basement and collects dust. I think it's because it was my first guitar that I learned on...so it's hard to detach.
Anyone else have/had this problem?
I'm playing the hell out of it right now. This is just so damn sad!

The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need -- providing food for some of the 27 million unwanted animals given to shelters in the US every year. Over 10 million animals are put to death every year in the US alone because they are unwanted, abandoned, or abused.
Each click on the purple "Feed an Animal in Need" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food for an animal at North Shore Animal League America or at one of the Fund For Animals' world renowned animal sanctuaries, including the Black Beauty Ranch in Texas and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in California.
Funding for food is paid by site sponsors, whose banners appear after you click the purple button, and goes to our aforementioned charity partners.
The number of animals helped by the site depends on the number of visitors to The Animal Rescue Site. Please click every day, and encourage friends and family members to do so as well. Click here to learn more about us.

QUOTE (Weakly Criminal @ Dec 27 2006, 08:13 PM) I Heart!!!!
One of the best live bands I've ever seen. The Wilson sisters are just fantastic, but I believe the most underrated member of the original band to be Roger Fisher who came up with some of my favorite guitar pieces ever.Totally right about Roger! He's amazing!

QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Dec 26 2006, 02:08 PM) She finally get's some Muse!
I only had 1 CD for Christmas, which is the norm.
Lord Of The Rings Soundtrack, all three of them, and it's excellent.
Today i picked up Peter Gabriel - Hit, and Editors - Back Room which i think is excellent.
Tomorrow it'll be Sam's Town/Hot Fuss (Any recommendations?) - The Killers and Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSoundsI didn't like the Killers album...I would go with K-OS "Atlantis" or Justin's...rather than the killers.
Muse is excellent!
Oh and Howard Shore rocks! I have all the soundtracks as well
-
Ok boxing Day at Futureshop...haven't placed my Amazon order yet
Matthew Good- Avalanche
Muse- Black Holes and Rev.
Linkin Park- Meteora
Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Show Your Bones
System Of A Down- Toxicity
K-OS- Exit
K-OS- Atlantis....I looked on the inside of the cover and saw my friend's band , HiLL, in the credits...I think I was more excited to see that than buying the cds! To me that is just so friggin cool
My Morning Jacket- Z
The Dears- Gang Of Losers
all that for $100.64...and I had a $100 gift card from work...so I paid freaking 64 cents! I didn't even spend anything! So Amazon here I come. lol

QUOTE (tascam @ Dec 23 2006, 12:06 PM) As posted by launchpad67a...
"Look tascam, you started this with your comment about Behringer gear being the choice of Alex.
I/we stated that Behringer gear is amateur because we have heard, used, tested, and ran over it with cars to see if it's any good. It's not! That's not "our opinion", it something that every working studio engineer in the industry will tell you. We don't expect everyone to know what we know and/or use the gear we use.
We were asked about certain products, regardless that they were wrongly mentioned, and we commented about them. You took offense to the fact that we don't like Behringer. We told you why we don't like Behringer and all you could say was "tell that to Alex". Please.... (Alex mixed their last live album and VT. He can't Mix!!!!)
I said this before..."If you don't want my advise about gear and recording, don't ask", because I know what I'm talking about. It seems you really don't read anything I say because I DON'T just go around and boast about what I've done and what I can do, unless provoked by less knowledgable people. I will only call someone out when they insult or question my knowledge about the industry. You are one of these people.
Cyg and I have no affiliation with each other, beyond the fact that we both are probably the only 2 people on this entire forum that actually "work in the industry". Do you work in the industry?
Don't ever call me a "hypocrite". I never pretend to be able to do something I can't do. Are you sure you know the meaning of that word you asshole! My career speaks for itself and I don't need to justify it to you or anyone else. This is where your senseless accusations begin to annoy me.
You claim that my comments about "copying people's gear" is hypoctical. I have news for you man, I listen with my ears and that is the final judgement of gear. Sure, I've been in the high-end studios and seen what they use, and sure I have bought some gear based on the recordings that have come out of those studios. But, it's not a secret that a Neve preamp is the choice of preamp for vocals throughout the industry. Just like a great singer can lay down a vocal track in 1 take! Again, I say you have the issue with someone telling you, you are clueless. I sure don't...isn't that obvious?! I learned by getting my ass slammed by pros that can run circles around any of us! BTW, I never have said anything about "your" knowledge of recording gear (you seem to base this whole thing on our comments to Ru5h@Fan). I have never heard anything from you. I have from Ru5h@Fan and it wasn't his engineering, studio or mixing. Sounded ok but not quality, like a "record".
As for a "list" of accomplishments. I don't feel that I need to list what I have done in my career. As long as Sony Studios, A&M, Atlantic, Blue, Frozen Rope and a host of others keep calling me for work, I don't need to boast about it. Again I say to you, "what have you done to throw accusations around like you have"?
Until you prove to me (us), that you know anything about the recording industry, shut the hell up! You seem to be a person that thrives off this kind of thing ( causeing conflict). My suggestion to you is, stop while your ahead, or behind as the case may be, and leave it alone.
I'm sure you will comment on this and make a bigger fool of yourself. You are entitled to,this is an open forum.
People respect Cyg and I here on this forum. That's why we offer good advise and try to push certain people in a better direction. Sorry if our comments "hurt your feelings". Booo f***ing Hoooo. I can assure you, " we know better than you".
Yes it's Christmas, why don't you ask Santa for another try at the recording arts. Then post and get back to us! Otherwise , Shut the f**k Up !"
Hehe....you guys think your slick, eh? Locking the topic where you try to get the last word...and not allow others to make more comments about it. Nice try...but... Foiled again!!!
I really wish your childish and sophmoric comments would go to a PM, so that others don't have to "skip" over your replies, but rather, "pole vault" over them! You two are wasting valuable internet bandwith!!! Shame on you!
I would have replied a lot sooner to your "kindy-garten" behavior...but, I have been reading PM after PM from members not only on this board...but on others, that just happened to see this travesty against both Ru5h F@n and in full support of me, and calling both of you guys names that I shan't mention here. (Only because it's Christmas Eve-Eve)
It's been suggested by all those that PM'd me that I just let you two have the last say, and move on. Take the higher road, as it were. So, that's what will happen. That is unless you post again in another topic that un-fairly makes a negative comment towards another one of the members here....which seems to be a fun little game for the both of you!
What does it say about two "audio professionals" that have all the time in the world to resort to name calling....incorrect slamming and then locking a topic so that others, including myself, cannot reply to your last comments? GEEZ! Get a life guys! If you are both these "self-proclaimed audio professionals", how do you find time to reply with these long winded, over-blown, and 2nd grade school yard replies...when you should be in a "locked session" at "Sony Studios, A&M, Atlantic, Blue, Frozen Rope and a host of others " ???
Well...we have a MAJOR difference of opinoin here, guys. I think normally, and you two think like your God's gift to the 100mm fader!!!
Still, after all of this, I wish you Merry Christmas...and hope that the new year brings lots of success to both of you.
P.S. See you at the next Rush concert, where I will buy you both a beer! -
I can't wait. Going to school for audio engineering next Nov in Toronto. Can't FREAKING wait.
