  1. QUOTE (launchpad67a @ Jan 25 2007, 11:32 PM)
I heard from someone who knows Greg, who's a friend of Amy who used to be the nanny for Jims kids. Anyhow, Jims youngest, Jim Jr., recently ran into Katrina, who used to run a record store back in St. Louis. Katrina has been talking with Rich about his bands latest cd, "Rumor Has It", and it seems that some of the early mixes got released on the internet. Not knowing what to do, Rich called Alexa, who is an entertainment lawyer from LA. She told Rich that, rumors are what make the business go around and any publicity is good publicity, so he should just let it go. Rich replied, "but these people have no idea what they are talking about and they are killing our buzz and hype"! Alexa then gave Rich the number of her most secret source, hoping the answer could be found. Rich called this number but only got the answering machine. The greeting was, "how did you get this number? ... Ah, you're a rumor starter with no proof, that's how". Rich was furious at this message and decided to leave a message of his own. It said, "unless you know me, don't start rumors about me...especially because my new album is called "Rumor Has It" ! "

    Big Red was great.

As for the bad ones, some of them actually think they can sing, but you just know that half of them are total put-ons, that just go on the show as a joke, because they're bad. This is obvious, because there are like 20,000 people in the football stadium for each city, and Paula, Randy, and Simon obviously don't see all of them. My guess is that they have producers listen to people in the stadium, and they pick out people to go see the judges. They pick the really good ones, and the really horrible ones that would make for entertaining TV, like Big Red and the juggler guy the first night, or that guy the second season who sang "Like a Virgin" with the arm movements, or William Hung, etc.

    laugh.gif Big Red. Too funny!

Ok if it has to be a Tuesday I will go with May 1st instead of my original of April 30th. This is Rush guys they always go against the flow so do we really know if it will be a Tuesday release? Why would they decide to be ordinary and do what everyone else does?

No really. I snowboard a lot.  Like hockey as well.

Do you ride back country or at resorts? I've only been to a few B.C. interior spots like Apex, Baldy, Silver Star... Great snow!

Not really into backcountry....first of all...avalanches have been crazy this year....

I normally ride at Sunshine and Fernie biggrin.gif

guitars are whack. i was at guitar center today and models over $1000 had crappy-ass action. how do you explain that?

because at guitar center most of the people there (at least at the local guitar center) know nothing about setting guitars up. so they have really crappy action. When i got my JS1000 i had to have it set up at the guitar shop where i take my lessons. Guitar Center caters twords moving lots of stuff, and not setting anything up. they tune them, and put them on the wall or on the stands.

true dat. I think that goes with every music store....except for long and Mcquade biggrin.gif

ohmy.gif applaudit.gif didn't she like the guitar or what was it?

    I made an excuse rofl3.gif

I was looking at a guitar shop and I saw the same guitar for $240...she paid me $200 for guitar/case/cord/amp/strap....and my guitar is 8 years old. I said to her....that maybe she was better off getting a brand new one...that is the exact same model. And that I had second thoughts about it. She said ok. I told her she could keep the amp for all the trouble. 20 mins i'm going to the shop with her to pick out the new one.

NEVER sell your first guitar folks!

I didn't sleep last night because of it laugh.gif
