Now, there's only 2 discs and the price went down $0.18.

I was hoping there was something special about this release,

but it looks like I am wrong. Sorry for posting about this "release".

I thought this was going to be a new release.

You are right Jack Aubrey. I bow before you.

Hopefully will get Exit...Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure, and A Show of Hands

    on DVD sometime.

Feel free to delete this thread. Save the bandwidth.

    All Music Guide
In 2002, Mercury released the Rush DVD/CD set Chronicles/Moving Pictures,
which combined the DVD Chronicles: The Video Collection (1990, originally released on Mercury)
with the CD Moving Pictures (1981, also originally released on Mercury). John Bush

This is what puzzles me. Rush Chronicles: The DVD Collection was not

originally released in 1990, it was originally released in 2001. If they had said

Rush Chronicles: The Video Collection (VHS), then that was released in 1990.

  3. Since the detailed description has "Orig Year 1990" and "Discs 3",

I would think that the 1990 Chronicles 2 disk set will be included

with a DVD. But, the question is: What is the DVD?

Is it just the "Chronicles" DVD? Or is it a different DVD?

  5. Hello everyone. I just want to announce that I will be helping Moonraker

answer your posts for part of the day. Just a reminder that each

person can only post one guess until 2 PM PST. If you post more than

one guess before 2 PM PST, then the subsequent guess(es) will not be answered.

    Good Luck.

  6. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Feb 9 2005, 05:02 PM)
Hey BB&B  we have "The Camera Eye" game.  Guess the lyric from the pic.  I remember you used to play that & were quite good at it.  Come give it a shot.

Thanks Digital Man. I will go on over to "The Camera Eye" game.

    QUOTE (Moonraker @ Feb 9 2005, 10:39 PM)
Definatly not dude, you were the one that really pushed me last year to try to win these contests.  I remember walking to work and thinking in my head about what the clip sounded like, what timeperiod of Rush's career could the sound that was in that clip be from, what instruments were being used at that part.  Lol, that was great fun.  I hope you stick around for these things and teach these new guys how a real clip game is played biggrin.gif

Thanks Moonraker, I appreciate your kindness.

Good luck with the clip contest everybody. I hope you have fun.

  7. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Feb 9 2005, 04:07 PM)
Dude, you did not disrespect my contests at all.  You were an awesome player.

    Thanks, you are very kind.

I will admit that I was a competitive player, but I don't think

I deserved the honorable title, "The Official Clip King".

That title should have gone to 1-0-0-1-0-0-1.

Do you remember your third contest, when 1-0-0-1-0-0-1 sent you

the right answers privately within a day. It took the rest of us weeks and

weeks until we came up with the right answers. If 1-0-0-1-0-0-1 wanted to,

he could have posted the answers publicly. But, he let the other competitors

play and I was able to "steal" that contest. That's how I got involved in

the online Rush community and I can never repay

RushRevisited, 1-0-0-1-0-0-1, GhostGirl, and daveyt for all the wisdom they

    shared with me. Thanks. trink39.gif

  8. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Feb 9 2005, 02:00 PM)
Hey, BB&B long time no see...

I think he means public answers.  It sure would make the contest longer, but it would be a lot easier for Moon.

We should try it this way once & see how well it works.  I too missed out last time becuase it went so fast.

sfuentes - you gotta play again, we need a chance to beat you.  Moon won a few of these in a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

    Hello Digital Man.

I remember about a year ago when RushRevisited hosted the first finals

(the winners of contests one through five would compete in the finals).

The contestants would PM their answers to RushRevisited.

I ended up winning that contest, by sending too many PMs.

I feel that I disrespected RushRevisited, 1-0-0-1-0-0-1, GhostGirl, daveyt,

    and anyone else involved.

So, again I am sorry and hope that I can be forgiven.

  9. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Feb 9 2005, 01:19 PM)
What if one answer could be given each day by each person (subsequent answers for the day are ignored) and Moon could answer one time a day for all?  Yes, the contest would go longer, but it would be less work for Moonie and all around the globe could participate easier?  Just a thought  confused13.gif

    Do you mean:

One public posting of answers per day by each person in the thread

    OR

one PM of answers to Moonraker by each person a day (to keep answers private)?

  10. QUOTE (Sweetmiracle @ Feb 7 2005, 02:03 PM)
A few days ago, I was reading on the eches of old applause website, when I came across the R30 rants page. This stood out:

a couple in the first section (102) had a picture of a soldier and the girl kept raising it over her head during the first two or three songs of the show. An usher came over and asked her to put it down, as people were complaining that it was obstructing their view. Shortly after that a member of the Rush crew came over and stated that Alex wanted to display her sign on stage. Before or during "Red Barchetta" one of Alex's guitar techs took the picture and placed it to the left side of his amps (later moved right in front of his amps), which said anthonyquayle.com across the front. The touching moment came when Alex and the lady made eye contact, Alex saluted her and smiled, which of course made her cry. The picture stayed on stage for the rest of the night

I went to the website and found out that the young soldier had died of leukemia...

That was an incredibly sweet thing for Alex to do....

Thanks for sharing that information Sweetmiracle trink39.gif

  11. QUOTE (Moonraker @ Dec 28 2004, 03:30 PM)
I thought that the material on Chronicles was already remastered, are there going to be any different tracks on it or is it just a rerelease.

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think the tracks on the 1990 Chronicles CD

were remastered. I am sure somebody on here will let us know if the tracks

on the 1990 Chronicles CD were remastered or not.

I think the first set of remastered tracks came out in 1997 for

    Retrospective I.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the website says 1 disc.

Personally, I don't get why 1 CD would cost $28.35.

There seems to be a mistake somewhere in their description.

2nd Edit (1/18/05): Apparently, the release date has

been pushed back to "Tuesday, March 22, 2005"

  13. I enjoy listening to the Rush clips and trying to figure out which

Rush songs they are from. I would like to thank RushRevisited,

1-0-0-1-0-0-1, and Moonraker for hosting these clip contests in the

    past and present.

I feel that I should stay out of the clip contests from now on.

    But, I'll play unofficially.

    ADD CETS AND IT RAPS

    EDIT

Slight miscalculation in number of letters, sorry

I thought it was "Didacts and Narpets".

But, I see there is only one "N" in your phrase.

I agree with Moonraker. This is an excellent idea for a game RushRevisited. trink39.gif
