  1. I have no problem with creativity, fun and games, time killers, et al. and keeping the reputation of RUSH fans living in their parent's basements at 40, (NOT that there's anything wrong with that!) BUT it would be nice to put some sort of <satire> in thread title for those who DO NOT wish to waste time on something that actually appears to be upcoming info about the band. Sorry so touchy. That's all.

Hands down Marillion on the PoW tour in Cincinnati.

Marillion Sucked! they were pretty much Booed off the stage in Chicago, everyone was cheering "Rush, Rush, Rush" during there set. Someone lit a flame with an aerosal can , It was Great. Power Windows, still my favorite Rush concert.

I can verify this. They were a steaming pile of fecal matter.

I recall the lead singer in a Kimono saying "I"m so wasted" or somethign like that.

He sang that as they are lyrics from a song on misplaced childhood. Idiot.

As far as best support act seen-Max Webster at Manchester Apollo 79. Would have loved to see Marillion open for them tho!

    I agree. What a stupid, ill-informed comment. He's a dope.

Misplaced Childhood is an album that still cannot get knocked off it's perch.

  3. Thank you for your insight and post. trink38.gif

Can someone please tell me, with the storied problems with post-production in the past, how something like this is put out, by so-called "professionals"?

    I DON'T GET IT! ????

  4. Lost City of Gold

Underneath the thick, virgin rainforest cover in the Mosquitia region of Honduras, archaeologists have discovered ruins they think may be the lost city of Ciudad Blanca.

Legends say the "White City" is full of gold, which is why conquistador Hernando Cortes was among the first Ciudad Blanca seekers in the 1500s. But the method the modern researchers used was a little different from previous explorers' techniques. The modern-day researchers flew over the area in a small plane and shot billions of laser pulses at the ground, creating a 3D digital map of the topology underneath the trees.

This is one of the first times this technique, called light detection and ranging (LiDAR), has been used to map ancient ruins. Beyond archaeology, LiDAR researchers at the National Science Foundation are looking to develop the technology for mapping disasters using drones, for military spying and for tracking erosion under rivers and shallow parts of the ocean

LOVE the lyrics to Clockwork Angels. Very poetic, atmospheric, and lyrical. Some of his best lyrics ever, I would say. That said, the story is rather depressing - a string of blunders and dashing hopes to the chagrin of the protagonist, only for him to realize that life is crappy and full of disappointments. The ending redeems it somewhat, with the message that life is hard, but all we can do is hope from one second to the next. A bittersweet ending, but very nice. Well done! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I agree. When I read the prefacing vignettes I couldn't help but reference what Neil said in his latest installment of "News, Weather, and Sports".

That when he writes fiction it is almost impossible to NOT interject the writer's (his) life's experiences and impressions.

This is NOT a happy storyline. Slightly uplifting and reconciling at the end, but the theme is clear.

  6. This is indeed a rare and magical time for us! Cheers all !

Just a side comment that I find it interesting that the guys decided to pare down the ty's and, aside from Gump, don't mention the crew. This is the 1st time I have (not) seen this, (afaik)

I will discuss tmmrw with a call to Herns, lol
