*I* can pick the ticket up the day of the show... I just don't know if they'll give the ticket to me. She's not going, so she won't be there the day of the show to pick it up (that's what prompted the original post).
I sent in an email to the venue management to see what they suggest.

Thanks for the info. I'll give them a call.
Problem is, I live like 120 miles away from the venue, so it's not like I can just have her pop down there and show her ID. I'm taking off work a day to go to the show as it is, I can't really ask her to do it too, just to show her ID

My 50th birthday is in September... my wife just surprised me and told me she got me an awesome ticket (2nd row looks like) for the Tulsa show (she's not going - she's not a Rush fan... ). The ticket is "will call" which I've never gotten before.
I know that means that I have to pick up the ticket at the venue, but they say I need a photo ID to pick up the ticket. Since my wife ordered the ticket online, can I be the one to pick it up? Or does it have to be her? Does anyone know? Or should I call the venue and ask?

They have definitely turned up the awesome these past couple of episodes. I hate to see this show end, but I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Apr 20 2010, 01:31 PM) QUOTE (OldRod @ Apr 20 2010, 01:25 PM) The last couple of tours they have used Main Monkey Business to lead into the drum solo and done YYZ at the end, or even in the encore.
I don't see it as a problemI think you meant to say MalNar...leading into the drum solo.
Monkey Business was played in the first set, from what I remember.
Doh, you're right! /facepalm
I meant Malignant Narcissism, not Main Monkey Business

I just bought a ticket for the Kansas City show this morning. The face price of the ticket was $1 higher than the last tour.
It may be that certain venues are gouging, or maybe certain ticket-sellers, but not everyone is experiencing the high prices others have mentioned.
Even with the taxes and fees added on, the price was less than $3 higher than the ticket from two years ago.

I don't see it as a problem

Tickets went on sale for KC at 10:00.
First pull, I got Orchestra 2, Row E... almost the exact same seats I had last time, but on Geddy's side this time instead of Alex.
I am happy!!
*edit* for the record... I HATE captchas!
took me 3 tries to get a captcha I could even read to buy my tickets, and for some reason the first time I typed it, the page didn't think I typed it right...

Sounds like some kids did something they shouldn't and came up with a story to cover damage to the car
-
Based on this, and other threads... it's almost like you just throw your money in the air and hope it lands on a ticket.
This is absurd, with all the various pre-sales that only seem to have crappy seats. Maybe if I buy a lottery ticket and don't win the jackpot... I'll win Rush tickets instead? It's almost that absurd!

My venue goes on sale in 35 minutes, so I'll let you know how it goes, but if it's like the last tour KEEP TRYING!
It took me like 45 minutes last time of constantly trying before I got ~12th row just left of center. Discarded a few that were way in the back or in the corners, and got lots of "no tickets are available".
So don't give up too quick.

Those Toronto dates are showing up now, along with Kansas City, which is what I'm interested in... good luck everyone
-
Ah, thanks for that overview - I had missed it somehow
Still, I stand by my feeling that this is way more confusing than it needs to be.

Speaking of Stubhub... I just checked it out for the first time. I notice they have tickets to the KC show for sale there already. How can they do that? Even the first Citi-presale hasn't happened yet?
-
Tickets for the Kansas City show go on sale next week... at various times depending on what presale I may or may not qualify for.
Can someone explain in idiot-terms what my options are?
I don't have a Citi Card, so I don't qualify for that presale. What do I need to do to qualify for the limited presale? or the VIP presale? Or is the VIP simply a package you select when buying your tickets? Or am I totally confused?!?
All I want is 1 ticket... as close to the middle and as close to the stage as I can get. Why is this so complicated?
-
This is really looking like a hassle to get tickets.
Kansas City (the one I really want to go to) has a pre-sale, then a Citi-pre-sale and a special VIP pre-sale. Then tickets go on sale to the rest of us losers... if there are any left
All I want is to buy a damn ticket!

In August? In Wichita?
About the only thing to do is sweat... a lot...
Now I'm not so sure about the dates - the livenation ticket sale dates posted over on riab's site agree with the date for Kansas City tickets going on sale, but not Wichita. They show Wichita tickets going on sale May 8th
I'm confused...
-
The Rush site lists tickets for Wichita and Kansas City as "On Sale Soon"
Since these dates interested me, I went to the site for the venues and it looks like tickets for Wichita go on sale this Friday (the 16th) and Kansas City the following Friday (the 23rd).
Just in case anyone else is needing that info

QUOTE (osage2112 @ Apr 8 2010, 10:31 AM) Wichita AND Tulsa get a show...I like the way the boys are thinking!!!!!!!!!
OsageOMG, I hadn't seen the Tulsa date... now there are 3 places that are within 100-110 miles of me
-
Yay, Kansas City and Wichita are both about 100 miles for me... can't wait!!
Wichita looks to be indoors. Strange that I've never seen them indoors before

Is the Director's Cut available on non-BluRay DVDs?

Spoilers below for anyone who is not caught up
Old Ben is in the "present" with Locke, Sun and Lapidus.
My guess is that Young Ben will survive this event (or the island will resurrect him), but this is what turns him to "evil" Ben. I'm surprised he hasn't let on that he remembered Sayid in the future though... But with Ben's facial expressions, it's hard to know what he's thinking sometimes
-
There is no way that last night's ending will turn out like it looked... (being vague to avoid spoilers )
Farraday has said time and again that they can't change the past, even if they wanted too.
Still, that was a total "OMG!!!" ending

I'm currently reading the Prince of Nothing trilogy by R. Scott Bakker
I'm about halfway through the 2nd book and it is great! It's a very adult story, though, so don't expect happy unicorns and dancing gnomes

Same here, F2, row B (I assume that's the second row?) I'm like seat 19 or something, so it's probably to the side, but should still be a good seat I hope
