  1. I've noticed that sometimes bands open tours in smaller markets. I remember Van Halen opening a tour in Shreveport, LA back in the 80's. Aerosmith kicked off their Get A Grip tour in Topeka, KS in 1993. I believe it's so the band can have a show to work the kinks out before playing some bigger cities.

if you're lucky, they'll have a little tech breakdown and you'll catch the Al Comedy Show.

I'm hoping for some Al comedy :)

Just looked at ticketmaster, they still have some seats in the front floor middle section. Kinda pricey, but surprised there are still seats that close to the stage.

  2. Well, if it's like most web sites, these things are controlled by a database. Probably seating info and a link to the event info are stored under my account. The event info hadn't been populated yet in whatever database it is stored in, but now it has. It was just a bit unnerving to spend so much on a ticket and have it come out 90% blank like that.

At least it's working now :)

  3. You could also stop by a venue box office at some point and confirm.

Well the venue is about 120 miles away from where I live - wouldn't be that easy to swing by :)

Same exact thing happened with my tickets to MSG. Eventually the name of the band and venue appeared on the ticket, a couple weeks after purchasing. Keep checking you tickets in your ticketmaster account, the glitch will probably be corrected before the show, and if the barcode is verified, they should be good either way. But part of what we are paying for is to see RUSH on the ticket?

Thanks for this advice. I just checked back and now the ticket shows up with all the information on it. Printing that out now :) I feel so much better!

  4. No, it looks the same on the monitor as when it prints.

I loaded the ticket in the Ticketmaster app on my phone and it shows the same way, but underneath it, it lists all the date/time/band info, so I'm hoping it's ok. I will take my receipt and order confirmation along to Tulsa just in case :)

  5. After being on hold for 20 minutes, the guy at Ticketmaster "assures" me that this is a good ticket, as long as it has the barcode on it, which it does. I'm just not so sure... I'd hate to get to the show that night and have it not work.

Is there any way to scan the barcode to see what it contains?

  6. I got a ticket for the opening night show in Tulsa through Ticketmaster. But when I go to print the ticket from my account, it is pretty much blank. It shows the sec/row/seat, but nothing else. No venue information, date or time. Doesn't even say what show the ticket is for. I've never seen a ticket like this before.

Is this something new Ticketmaster is doing? Or did something get screwed up with my order?

I am trying to email Ticketmaster about it, but their support email page keeps timing out on me :(

  7. Towards the end, the last song the string section played in (YYZ I think), a man came out on stage and was standing behind Neil directing the string section like a composer. After a bit he turned around and ... it was Paul Rudd!

By the time I realized it and got my cell phone out, just had time to get a couple crappy pics... but here he is:

IF you are terminally ill then you can def meet them. There was a girl on here a while back and she posted many pictures of her with the band prior to a show.

She wasn't (and isn't) terminally ill. She suffered from childhood cancer and received a wish from the Make-A-Wish fondation. Her wish was to meet Rush. She has been cancer free for almost 5 years and will be celebrating her 21st birthday at the upcoming Atlanta show on Nov 1st.

So she had a meet & greet... and now she's cured...

Is there nothing these guys can't do?!?

I got an email and a phone call at work from live nation today asking if I got my package. I think I could have lied and got another one but I didn't.

Maybe someone lit a fire under them. My wife got a call at work and I got an answer to my email as well. Sounds like I may actually get get my VIP package after all!

    *fingers crossed*

  10. If that had been Guns and Roses, or any one of another bunch of bands, Alex would have thrown down his guitar and walked off the stage.

The fact that he didn't is part of what makes this band so awesome! smile.gif

I've gotten several responses from a "Rob" at tickets@fanfire.com for my Wichita VIP package, noting that they've been out of stock. Each time, I was sent a new redemption code (three codes now), but I'm still waiting for the remainder of my package (poster and tour book is all I've received so far).

    So, try emailing "Rob".

That's the email address the BOK Center gave me - haven't heard back yet.

  12. I'm still getting the run-around. Called the BOK Center. They send me to fanfire.com. fanfire.com redirects me to to store.livenation.com who has no knowledge of me or my order. They say to call ticketmaster. Called ticketmaster and they have no knowledge of me or my order and they referred me back to BOK Center.

BOK Center gave me an email address to contact (at fanfire.com) - so far no response.

This is beyond absurd at this point.
