  1. I heard something that somewhat contradicts that but it didn't come from somebody I know for a fact has solid info so I won't say it.

As of this moment there are several different rumors regarding which songs are in and which are out.

Even with everything I heard about what was being rehearsed I was still surprised by a number of selections in the 2nd half/encore.

I wouldn't even bother to speculate at this point. I was told at the last minute there were a number of songs cut from the final list and possibly a few added to it so who knows???

  2. The sausages were a gag from the TM tour.

Nothing serious just the boys being silly.

Sawyer's Soup... you gotta watch "The Boys in Brazil" to get the meaning if you're good at reading between the lines... ;)

  3. Does anyone have them or know where I could get them?

I can't get them from there. If someone else can, I'd appreciate it if you could help me out.

Go to post 22 in that thread.

It's a very slow site (took about 2 hours for the entire .rar file) but at least you'll be able to get the show there... unless the site owners and/or host have been raided in the past 6 hours :P

    I can't do .rar files.

You can't DL WinRAR to blow 'em up?

  4. Completely agree with you although Freewill has missed a couple of tours so wouldn't call it too much of a staple. Limelight was played only a few times on CA.

This officially means that Tom Sawyer is the lone survivor of being the only song played at EVERY rush show. YYZ would have been up there but now that it is a rotate song can't say that it is an every show staple.

Snaked … had another question since you were at the show. The video credits tour book listed something called Ask Al as a video.. was there anything there that night that showed this? Or is this something new that might pop up tomorrow?

I didn't see anything that would relate to "Ask Al" and I was watching for it.

    So.. no clue.. YET!

  6. Ged used three different Rickenbackers: the classic black one on Tom Sawyer, the double neck, and one I didn't recognize--the top part that juts forward over the neck was rounded instead of squared off.

Geddy played two Rickenbackers. Tom Sawyer was recorded on Jazz bass and is played on a Jazz bass. It's his black pawn shop one. It used to be his primary. He use the Double Neck for Xanadu and his original blue one for Red Barchetta (the original bass used for that song)

He also played two different Thunderbirds, one was the upside down style, can't remembery the specific name. He also played a Gibson Les Paul bass for Distant Early Warning. Surprisingly he played with 2 different Precision basses too.

Actually Geddy played 3 different Rickeys'

The black 4001 and then there was a red 4003 (I think?) and then the red doubleneck.

Just went back to my twitter feed to confirm it.. the red Rickey was on CTTH.

Thanks totally forgot about that. Probably the most boring song in the second set, still a great song live!!! Just the weakest of the whole set in my opinion. But that bass is really interesting. Just wanted to point the Jazz was is has and should always be used for Tom Sawyer.

Is the Rick used on Red Barchetta really black? I swore it was the blue one.

I was on Alex's side so I didn't get a great view of it during Barchetta but it certainly appeared to be his original black 4001.

    However I could be wrong.

  7. Now I'm well aware that some people will say this is a bad thing but to me it's amazing in a very positive way...

We just saw a RUSH concert where they didn't play Limelight, YYZ or Freewill.

    That's pretty friggin awesome IMNTBHO.

Not that any of those songs are bad.. on the contrary. They've just been severely overplayed live through the years.

Now theres a few other I could have put on this list (namely Natural Science and LVS) but these songs have at least taken a break from the setlist on occasion.

I'm so glad they choose to give those 15 minutes to something else. Like PRELUDE! ;)

  9. A month or two ago there was a survivor type voting game on the forum to find out what the fans thought the best album was and to the surprise of many (not me) Hemispheres won. So your assumption that MP is 'the best' may not be correct.

    Just some food for thought.

  10. Howard has always "Played" the lights.

He's never been somebody who would just sequence a lightshow and press a button.

Sure.. there are tons of sequenced parts... but if you ever sit behind him and just watch him you will see he is playing right along with the band. He knows the songs just as good as any hardcore fan does.
