  1. So according to Snaked who I believe is Rush_Roadtrips on twitter… he is saying Losing It will be played on Friday according to Geddys brother and more dates will be added? Is this a joke or is he serious?

    He's serious.

    I mean... I'm serious.

Allan Weinrib (Geddy's brother) was heard telling somebody that Losing It would be played on Friday (which people pretty much suspected anyway) and as for the dates.. read into my posts what you want.

  2.

On a side note, I ran into production manager Zack Thomas on the break

    Who dat?

He isn't the production manager for this tour.

He isn't listed as a Live Nation or VIP Nation person.

Perhaps he's on one of the contracted crews but I would still think he'd be listed if he were "production manager" for any of them.

  3. Just because you happen to disagree with him does not make him a phony or ignorant.

See post 18 and then look up the word ignorant. It applies in spades to Mr. Peart here.

    Look in the mirror.

  4. I can see how doing a 'scope on the floor could be distracting to others around you but if you're in the lower bowl with a decent sight line you can simply hold your phone close to your chest and nobody will even know you're 'scoping...

... I know this because that's what I did in CBus... only checked the phone every once in a while to make sure I was still framed reasonably well and still enjoyed the show.

Nobody, including security had a clue what I was doing.

  5. I've seen several fans post, that the crowd was small?

If by small crowd they meant the venue was essentially sold out then sure, it was small.

By ACC standards... sure, the crowd was small.

By comparison to the Foos at Wembley Stadium... it was a very small crowd.

For CBus/Nationwide Arena... there basically wasn't a ticket to be had.

Their capacity is 18,500...that's not too shabby....

For an end stage 270 it's more like 13.5k.

    But still.. not too shabby.

  7. Don't be obvious and security wont bother you at all.

I was in my seat the entire CBus show, had the phone fairly close to my chest and just peeked at it once in a while to make sure the framing was good and I got the entire show 'scoped.

Also make sure to turn the brightness allllll the way down on your phones display.

    1. it'll save you a butt-ton of battery

    2. you wont be like a little mini-sun in the middle of your section attracting the security flies ;)

  8. Should be a big crowd tonight in Dallas. Maybe bigger than the St. Louis show.

I believe the arena in Dallas is bigger than St. Louis and it is essentially sold out... so yeah, a good draw tonight for sure!

    Well scratch that!

According to Wiki AA center is 18.5k and Scottrade Center is 19.26k

Still, seating for a concert should be just about the same in that case... 13.5ish for each :)

  9. Can someone calculate the Seattle set list for me please? My brain is too weary from yesterday to do it.

    Thank you.

That would be impossible considering that by the time they get to the west coast there will be at least 2 more iterations to add into the equation... and nobody even knows if A/B/C will persist once D/E/??? begin.

  10. I have to laugh at the poster who said "they did it for us."

I would love it if that were true.

Somehow, I doubt it. Justin Hayward once said in an interview in the nineties that when they (the Moodies) first became famous and started to make loads of money, they acquired a lifestyle that they quickly became accustomed to. Then, they had to make enough money to maintain that lifestyle.

Somehow I think the same is true for Rush and all bands. It would be wonderful if they thought that much about us though.

Laugh away. It doesn't change the truth of things.

Why people think Rush aren't already multimillionaires is puzzling.

The ONLY reason R40 is happening is because Geddy convinced the other two to do it.

    I already know that.

I'm not the one trying to convince myself that fans mean more to them than they do.

LOL. I definitely don't convincing about any realities in the concert business, rest assured.

    It usually is Ray, yes.

    Not this time.

His money train's ending. He ain't happy about it. :)

Ged is the one who made this tour happen.

    No, actually you're wrong.

R40 (just like R30 and TMT) are 100% Ray's idea.

    Not this time. :)

But he's (briefly) happy about it.

    What he isn't happy about?

    Rush retiring afterward.

    Again, you are wrong.

But if you insist on believing that, fine. You are certainly entitled to be as wrong as you choose to be.
