  1. i get pretty close to his sound, mainly from power windows and up.

    i use the pick up switch one level up from the furthest down, and i use a jazz amp model with tube screamer and some chorus and delay. its all in the line 6 podxt live. smile.gif i can play a mean manhattan project and mystic rhythms with that set up as well as the beginning parts of Far Cry

Rp80's are nice, i dealt with that for about a year and a half, and just recently upgraded to a Line 6 pod xt live. the line 6 pod xt live is amazing. i get all the sound i need from it. plus you can go to their website and download user created tones and effects. its a learning community smile.gif. (i also made a killer nice rush tone wub.gif cheer.gif biggrin.gif laugh.gif trink36.gif trink38.gif 1022.gif
  4. my guitars : Ibanez RG321 mh and an ibanez gio electric(i hardly use it though.)

     

    my amp: ibanez 4 x 12" cabinet with an ibanez 50R toneblaster as the head for now.

     

    my pedals: Digitech RP80, Digiverb, Metal Master (i dont use these anymore) and my new baby, line6 podxt live floor pedal.

    i need to change out my RG321 pickups though. what are some really good pickups for a sound that is similar to Alex Lifeson's tone?
