  1. The Yukon Blade Grinder Europe

Sabaton's singer Joakim Brodén is walking all the way to his next show, Trondheim Metal Festival. You heard that right: walking. Apparently he lost a bet. It's more than 500 km.

We are not sure if Broden knows, but here at the YBGE we most certainly know and this feat brings to mind German director and YBG's favourite Werner Herzog's epic walk in the 70s from Munich to Paris, to reach his friend Lotte H. Eisner sick in bed.

It is certainly worth mentioning that Herzog made the walk in freakin' December, so Broden is a p*ssy in comparision anyway.

Here's a video diary of the walk:

What is 500 km like 50 miles or something?... :)

Too lazy to do the math, eh? :codger: :P :P :D :D

  3. I have to bump this because "Time machine" is easily my favourite album at the moment. Can't stop listening to it. EARL! Listen to this s*it! NOW!!

It's the second best album 2015, no doubt. :smoke:

Just listening to it again and it's growing really quick. Love it.

Do you guys do a top 5 release thread for year here?

We try, but then, usually around half December, Earl walks in and makes 6 threads all in caps about HIS album of the year and then it becomes the forum album of the year.

  4. Belated thanks, everyone. I might be on the verge of coming back on a more cohesive way.

"Habit" is a thing that's been missing from my life for the past 8 months. It's been a constant whitewater here.

    Hi again!

    I miss your butt.

You never say that to me anymore! ;)

Now that's something I WASN'T missing.... :laughing guy:

  5. How is Tico Torres even close to Neil?

Easy one. Teenage girls have access to this vote also apparently...

"Teenage girls" Narp? Really? Maybe in the 80s, but seriously, which teenage girl is into BJ these days??? It's their daddies' rock band!

Remind me again, which year is it today?

Women in their 40's and their daughters is the Assistant Night Manager’s fan base.

Neil Peart won but it shouldn’t have been close. Torres drumming is almost forgettable.

Wait, "Assistant Night Manager" is a BJ joke? Could you enlighten me kind sir?

    Never heard of it....

New Jersey rock icon Bruce Springsteen is The Boss. His hair band wannabe Bon Jovi is the Assistant Night Manager. ;)

    ah ah ah!!! LOL. Sweet!!!

  7. COMPLETE TRANSLATION by me!! I made this because I can't stop listening to Monsignor Sepe desperate plea. I'm gonna use this as my phone alarm this week.

So here it goes, remember, it's Archbishop talking here:

    Here they are...

    These are all...

    After, after!

    Ueh! Where are you going?!

    AFTER!

    Look at this...

But-but-but how can they do this?

    Sisters! After!

    Look at this...

    Sisters, please, after!

And these are CLOISTER nuns, just think if they weren't!!*

    (everybody laughs)

    So, then...

    They are gonna EAT HIM!!!

    Sisters... SISTERS!!

Sister, we got stuff to do!!

Sister... damn her, it's always her...

    It's always her...

    * Monsignor Pepe has been heavily criticised for what is perceived, by some, to be a chauvinist remark. MAYBE they have a point, but in my opinion this was all in good spirits.

  8. I know most of you won't be able to fully appreciate this, but it's really making me laugh so hard...

Pope Francis, notorious Rush fan, visits for the first time Naples, one of the most unique and crazy cities in the world... only to get assaulted by Nuns! Cloistered Nuns to be precise!

The desperete voice you hear is the voice of the Archbishop of Naples, who speaks not in Italian but in Napoletano, a language in its own right. He goes on: sisters, sisters...

But Francis's Call is too powerful...

  9. It's obvious and known to all that the cover is the sole work of Hugh Syme and all this is another lame attempt at some lukewarm fan fiction, distracting REAL Rush fans from REAL information they are looking for in this forum in their LITTLE, hard-earned, spare time. Mods should be doing something about this.

Like, I don't know, pin it or something.      :7up:

  10. I always hated my name because it was different. I went to school with Marys and Deborahs and Elizabeths and Judiths and Annes and Colleens and Karens and Kathleens and Joannes, but no other Lorraine.

When I got much older, probably in my late twenties/early thirties, I once asked my mother why she named me Lorraine. Her story as to why she did didn't help endear the name to me. But such is life.

Hey, now we want to hear that story! ;)
