  1. I was there. I think they knew this would be a slightly smaller show, so the stage was not a true endstage, but moved up some. The ticket/venue maps were deceiving. I heard several comments like "I love the intimacy of smaller venues.

The place was relaxingly full. By that I mean, there were seats open throughout the arena but no large blocks, so you could spread a bit.

You could have gotten really good floor seats for $10 outside...buyer market.

  2. Toronto is a large city, so prices tend to be higher, but the rate of $149 for a room is actually pretty good. There are other hotels within a few blocks as well.

The organizers run a tight ship and watch the money carefully and listen to feedback from previous years.

As has been stated, it's the friends with the same affinity for Rush that makes Rushcon great.

This will be my 14th Rushcon and it'd always a highlight of the year for me. Tickets have been bought, vacation scheduled, and air and hotel reserved.

Finally got my custom plates and on my car.
    It looks beautiful.
I really like how the light shines in this picture.

[bTW: I know that there was a thread for license plates already but I couldnt find it in the search. Feel free to merge the threads if someone can find it.]

Where are you from in Nebraska? I'm from Omaha...no plates...just Huskerspheres login. There used to be a guy I'd run into every once in awhile that worked at Methodist Hosp with a Rush license plate.

  4. My brother and friends aren't able to come to the Omaha show now. I have four 16th row floor seats. Should be close to center as they are seats 18-21. These were one row back of VIP. If interested let me know through a PM. Just looking to get what I have into them which is face, plus the fees.
  5. I also thought it was a good show. I had dead center seat from about 9 row, so speakers were not an issue. Every time I turned around I thought the crowd was great for KC. Beautiful night weather wise and couldn't ask for better. Portnoy was very gracious with many who said hi and asked for a photo. I like the setlist..."working them angels" is the only one I'd be happy to see go.

Marathon and TCE were worth the price of admission. I thought the new songs worked very well live. Geddy's vocals on Freewill were great...higher than I've heard him in awhile.

Couldn't believe all the cameras...there should be some great photos come out of that show.
