I'd actually go for PK5's and a Novation Bass Station Rack. The BSR is an actual analog bass synth, and would work really well for taurus sounds, and stuff like the Tom Sawyer growl.

I remember an article from 97/98, that showed Alex's rig in great detail. I'm not sure what magazine. I know that THIS picture:http://thumb4.webshots.net/t/18/18/1/94/53/248819453hKinxq_th.jpg more than likely came from it..... I wanna see more.
Thanks a lot!

However, he did do The Trees on the VT tour with a LP.
-
Let's guess what guitars Big Al's gonna use on the 2nd leg. I take this IF the changes in Nobody's Hero's thread comes true.
I think:
Sunburst LP w/ Floyd
PRS CE24 (if Marathon is pulled off)
LP with piezo x2 (The sunburst one that was first seen on the VT tour for Earthshine, and the sunburst 58 reissue.)
Goldtop LP
Black Les Paul Custom
Les Paul Axcess prototype (i think. That would be the black guitar that was his main for the first few shows.)
ES355
Garrison acoustics
Mandola
Maybe a tele for Bravado.

Well. It appears that this issue is coming my way! I'll be sure to scan some of it, and oh by the way. Jack Secret wrote some of the articles.
-
Not on the web, but I did recall seeing it on the web a few years ago. It was in EQ magazine from 1997, issue 7.
-
There was this article, I think done around the T4E tour(because Ged definatly took the Minimoog out of retirement for that one), that had some REALLY good pictures of his keyboard rig, down to the racks.
I also seemed to recall he had 2 Roland JD-800's on stands offstage. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Or was it just some pictures....
Thanks!
Ross
(nevermind, I found it.) This article's gonna be hard to find....

I'll just let the picture from NAMM do the talking.

The one on the right looks awful familiar.....

You could get a Kahler tremolo. I think they go right on a LP.
-
OMG! I got 15th row Center for Genesis!
-
Let's see.....
9/11/07 Genesis at TD Banknorth Garden, Boston, MA
9/15/07 RUSH! Montreal,QC
9/17/07 Weird Al Yankovic
Looks like a good week to me.

Does anyone know what Lerxst used on Circumstances? Was it a Les Paul?
-
So, according to Rich Soto at the rushtabs group, Al had:
The black Les Paul with a trem (Likely the R30 Les Paul Custom, which previously was tuned down a whole step for 2112.)
A sunburst Les Paul with piezo (probably the Earthshine/Secret Touch guitar from Rio)
The HOWARD ROBERTS!!!!!! This one had a piezo. Therefore, I guess the Kahler was taken off.
Goldtop Les Paul (No piezo, AFAIK)
ES-355. Used on One Little Victory and probably Bangkok. This list was sorta incomplete, meaning most of the songs were not listed.
A guitar tuned down a whole step. Probably another Les Paul.....
And... SHOCK, HORROR! The PRS comes out for Mission.
Acoustics were a 12 string and a Mandola. Unsure if a 6 string was even brought out, as he could use the piezos on a bunch of his Les Pauls.
